2086. “It was always a secret dream of mine.” Though she worked at a marketing agency for two years and @kohls
corporate for one year, Lauren Price has always wanted to give acting a shot so she moved from Wisconsin to LA about a year and a half ago. It seemed like she was destined to be here because the moment she logged on to @facebook
to look for housing, she saw a post from her friend looking for someone to sublet her place for 9 months. Lauren jumped on the opportunity and left the stable jobs of her Communications degree to pursue her passion with the help of odd jobs. Nowadays, she works as a dog walker, a caterer, a budtender, and a background actor to support herself while she works on projects like acting in webisodes and writing her own material. To stay sharp, Lauren also takes acting classes on top of the improv education she already received at @thegroundlings.
She hopes to eventually break into the television acting scene so she can share her authentic self through different characters, explaining, “I’m very comfortable in my own, weird skin.” For now, though, she’ll continue the grind while drawing support from family members like her older sisters and her uncle! So great to meet you, @it_me_lp
