Let’s talk about stress and how it affects you. You may be that crazy busy woman (or guy 😉) running around trying to get it alllll done while neglecting yourself in the process. As a result, you eat on the run (and it’s fast food probably), go to bed late, skip the workout or skip anything where the focus should be on YOU. You fall into bed at night feeling defeated, anxious, impatient and moody. You probably have a headache or stomachache to go with it. And then your skin loses that glow and your hair starts falling out and the pounds start packing on…. And that stresses you out even MORE.😖
Yep, believe it or not, this shake I drink everyday helps me deal with STRESS. I cannot even imagine what I would be like if I didn’t drink it every day. Am I still stressed? Yes. I have a demanding 40+ hour a week job, a busy calendar and I seem to be juggling tons of things in the air on a daily basis. Yet I do it. I get things done. And I KNOW it’s because I drink this every day, I work out, I read personal development and I pour encouragement, nutritional and fitness guidance into others.
Stress = Weight gain. Chronic stress does a number on our health and even poor eating habits CAUSE stress on the body. I help combat stress of everyday life and environmental toxins by eating cleanly at least 80% of the time. I read food labels constantly. I have finally realized in my 40’s that what we eat directly impacts on the way we feel, the way our body handles the day and our overall health. If your body is screaming at you with symptoms like chronic headaches, constipation, bloating, or other GI issues, anxiety, depression, feeling unfocused and unable to concentrate, fatigue, insomnia, constant colds, aches and pains that turn into chronic pain in which you need to pop pills just to get through your day then LISTEN UP! •

Just smashed chest and triceps🔥🔥🔥! I wanted to post this because look at my traps.. yes my traps are really developed, but at this angle, it looks like I literally have no traps😂😂😂! Don’t let pictures on Instagram effect you in a negative way. Yes they have amazing bodies, but angles, lighting and a lot of other variables makes a picture great including the 10+ years they have been training.. Moral of the story..Don’t compare your chapter 1 to other people’s chapter 20!✅🔥🔥
Everyone has doubts but those who reach their dreams are the ones who go for it anyway!
I do not even know where to begin! I am amazed how the body can transform when you put in the effort. I have a long way to go but this is just freaking awesome 😭🙌🏽💪🏽

Mais il y a un rêve que j’ai depuis que j’ai découvert Instagram et des filles comme @foutrak
... Ce rêve c’est courir un marathon!
Même lorsque j’étais obèse j’en rêvais...je ne pouvais pas marcher 10 minutes sans être essoufflée mais j’avais comme phrase en boucle « un jour je vais le faire... »
Alors voilà, j’ai perdu 40 kilos et je peux a nouveau marcher sans être essoufflée et surtout....COURIR!
Hier j’ai fais mon premier 10km... comme ça...juste moi et mes chaussures...juste pour le plaisir de dire « putain tu l’as fait! » !
1h16 de run...doucement mais sûrement...et pour l’ancienne obèse qui, il y a 7 mois de ça ne pouvait pas tenir 4 minutes de course...c’est un exploit de dingue!
Alors je suis loin, très loin des 42km...mais je vais y aller à mon rythme...en commençant par un semi...
Mais une chose est sure, hier, lorsque je suis arrivée chez moi après ces 10kms je me suis sentie comme @marinlle
à l’arrivée de son Ironman... alors oui...la comparaison peut te paraître ridicule mais tu n’as pas idée de ce que courir plus d’une heure ( ET SANS SOUFFRIR!!!) représente pour moi!
Depuis hier, ce qui a changé c’est que maintenant je crois que TOUT EST POSSIBLE À QUI S’EN DONNE LES MOYENS!
(Oui... la fille s’enflamme pour un 10km...mais balek, je suis fière comme un papa!)

Here’s how you’re holding yourself back…
Friend, I’ve been there. I used to turn down events, plans, meet ups, group gatherings because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do what they were all doing. I’ve turned down camping, hiking, skiing, boating trips and more because I was scared. I didn’t have belief in myself or I didn’t want to be seen for what I truly was…..overweight and hurting with an incredibly low self-esteem.
It’s funny because reflecting on this picture which was taken only 4 days ago I realized I don’t and haven’t held myself back in a very long time! I’ve said “YES” to so many opportunities that have been the most amazing experiences of my life. Zip-lining, snorkeling, boating, heck, I hiked over 7 miles of the pacific crest trail on Saturday alone just for fun!
My point in this friend is that there IS a paradise for you. Your current limitations in life can truly just be a “phase” if you make it, it doesn’t have to be a life sentence.
Taking action in your life is SO MUCH more than jumping on some fad diet and nutrition plan. For us, the people who struggle with food, with our bodies, with our minds, we need more. It starts in your gut. Your gut RUNS your life more than you will ever know. More and more research is being done and a lot of autoimmune things are coming to the forefront of health (especially women) because of the food we eat. Chronic Inflammation is coming from out diet. It makes losing weight HAAAARD.
After years of processed foods our bodies begin to rebel. We can’t process it. Therefore, after we eat we immediately get that overstuffed feeling. Our stomachs ‘blow up’. We begin to feel very uncomfortable and we just want to go lie down somewhere. Or we develop frequent headaches, brain fog.
80% of women suffer from IBS (myself included). I was SHOCKED by this! Most Americans are eating foods that run right through them without the nutrients ever being absorbed. Processed foods do not completely breakdown in our system like they should.
I like to think of it like a pipe. When you eat crap it begins to clog the pipe up. Then the pipe gets to a breaking point and you develop ‘leaky gut’. Ever hear of that? It’s beginning to be more and more common. As a society, we are eating more on the run. We are eating highly processed foods that we can’t get the nutrients from. And we are gaining weight at a fast rate. We then go to the doctor who gives us pills to pop and it just keeps getting worse. We seem to be in the mindset of needing a quick fix for everything. Nothing is working and we get depressed about it. It’s a terrible cycle to be in.

Dedication is the name of the game! I got this tattoo on my forearm after losing 125lbs to remind me that I have to stay dedicated🔥🔥🔥! No matter what🙅🏻♂️! But it’s not just about dedication, that’s just the first piece of the puzzle. After dedication comes intensity, and pushing yourself While staying dedicated. Any one can go to the gym 5 days a week and go through the motions. But being dedicated, while at the same time pushing through the pain, the negative thoughts, the complaisant thoughts of being average.. well, that’s where the gains are💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 -
