Read ON for my TOP 4 weight loss tips for busy ass people!
1️⃣ Become a morning person. Do your workout as soon as you wake up. Fasted workout is fine (but you must eat breakfast afterward). First, your workout is over & done with. Second, this AM exercise regulates your circadian rhythm to help you go to sleep earlier. (Conversely, a very late workout can really f*ck up your sleep cycle).
2️⃣ Workout at home (in the AM, see step 1!). Walmart & Amazon sell all kinds of affordable workout equipment. My personal favorites? Dumbbells that can add & subtract weight, and my incline sit up bench. Bodyweight HIIT workouts are great too, and require zero equipment.
3️⃣ Make your DIET do the majority of the work. Nutrition is 80% of your weight loss success anyway. You can’t outwork a shitty diet. But on the flipside, you can get away with LESS exercise if your diet is SMART and EFFECTIVE.
4️⃣ Do double workouts when you have time. I do a double workout every Saturday & Sunday. This allows me to schedule unplanned rest days during the work week where I just can’t find the time.

Happy Thursday!!!! I’ve been all about some legs & glutes this week, so here are a few exercises that really focus in on the glutes without a lot of quad/thigh engagement. ⤵️🍑
1️⃣ Single Leg Glute Bridge
2️⃣ Glute Bridge
3️⃣ Reverse Frog Hypers
4️⃣ Frog Pumps
5️⃣ Walking Side Squats
For the first 2, I really focus on driving through my heels & squeezing. For the second 2, it’s kind of hard to tell but my legs are in a frog position to shift the activated muscles to the outer/side glutes. I did all of these for 20-30 reps with a resistance band, but you can definitely drop the reps to 12-15 and add weight with a dumbbell or preloaded barbell. 🍑💪🏼 #OperationHalfMarathonWithoutLosingTheGluteGains #PerMitchsRequest

Not the heaviest or most intense shoulder day, but a decent pump and a good 2 mile walk to start the day. Enjoying the outdoors as much as possible while it’s still nice in Chicago! Walking along the lakefront in the early morning is one of the best ways to start the day. 🌅

Uncomplicated healthy habits are most sustainable at these times. 👉🏼Essentially, the less time you think about doing something, the more likely you’ll keep doing it, and the more automated it becomes in your daily life. For example, guidelines like 1) scheduled exercise, 2) drinking plenty of water, 3) eating wholesome foods, and 4) sleeping the appropriate amount of time does wonders. What does simple mean for you? Do that.✨
