#throwback to 5 years ago! This is the oldest/first photo I could find showing my midsection...and I had to have been feeling pretty proud to take the photo at all. I hardly have any “before” photos back then...I refused to take them if I didn’t look “perfect”.🤦🏼‍♀️😂 . Comparing to my most recent ab-showing photo... There’s not a HUGE difference...other than I learned how to take a good picture!📲🤣 I’m definitely stronger and more toned NOW bc I change up my workouts with the new programs that come out AND know how to eat right, finally!😉 . In the 2013 photo I had been a Coach for almost 3 years, so I was already working on my health/fitness.⏩ So no drastic change is not a surprise. It means peeling the layers of our ‘onion’... it mean getting vulnerable and look into the eyes of our vulnerability while embracing it all. It means learning to stop self-judging or judging others. It means becoming responsible ( different from under-responsible or over-responsible ). It means recognizing and then correcting our own blind spots. It means learning about boundaries and setting them too with ourselves and others. Self-discovery is part of the process of self-empowerment which leads to self-awareness too. What is that self-empowerment is not? Self-empowerment is not a quick fix. It is a journey and like in sport and physical empowerment, it needs motivation, clear intention, courage, tenacity, resilience and much, much patience. And it starts with a first step... I love this current workout program-only 4 days a week. Say what???? Today is rest day so I started my morning with a nice stretch and now I’m relaxing in an Epson salt bath. I’m going to listen to some audio on diet phasing and enjoy every minute of self care.

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE!! Lisa Klassen shared this info that she learned when she went to school for her Naturopath Degree: "ANYTIME you start ANY natural products you need to give it a MINIMUM of 3 months! On top of those 3 months if you, for example, have struggled with a particular issue, you need to add 1 month for every year you have suffered with this issue. If you have dealt with it for 6 years then you need to add 6 months to the 3 months which ends up to be 9 months. I honestly feel bad for people who quit Plexus supplements (or any, for that matter!) after 1-2 months and say that Plexus didn't work. It. Is. Not. Magic! I got A LOT of stares this morning when I pulled out my shaker cup, measured protein, and proceeded to make protein coffee while at "breakfast with Santa". Chipotle Chicken with Avocado Topping - nutrition support approved Makes 2 servings Per serving 1 Leaner protein ½ Green 3 condiments 1 fat 18 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast 1 clove garlic 1 Tbs chipotle in adobo sauce ½ Tbs adobo sauce 2 teaspoons lime juice, divided 1/2 tsp cumin 5 sprays Non-stick pan spray 3 ounces avocado ½ cup Roma tomato 2 Tbs green onion Instructions: 1. Pound chicken to ½-inch thickness. Combine garlic, chipotle pepper, adobo sauce, 1 tsp lime juice, and cumin; rub all over chicken. Place in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag; seal and chill 8 hours. 2. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Cook chicken in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done. 3. Combine avocado, tomato, onion, 1 tsp lime juice, and a dash of salt and pepper. Serve with chicken. *Note: You still need another 2 1/2 servings of greens. I started this weight loss journey May 2, 2018. I pretty much had hit my rock bottom, I was at my heaviest weight 209 lbs. ALL my joints hurt, I slept horrible and never felt completely rested. Something had to change! I reached out to an old friend who was a health coach. I decided to do something for me!! BEST decision I could of made! The picture on the left I was just so uncomfy. My size 14 pants were to tight, I couldn’t even cross my legs comfortably. All my joints hurt. My knees were screaming. I was so exhausted. The pic on the right shows a more “comfy” me. I can say all my joint pain is gone. I sleep like a champ! I can cross my legs. I have reached my GOAL and said goodbye to 60lbs! I am 149 lbs and full of energy. I haven’t wore a size 6 since 6th grade. I have also decided to pay it forward and become a Certified Health Coach. SO what are you waiting for? Are you looking for the quick fix? I got news they won’t work. Most people end up in a worse place they currently are. When we want something or want to make positive change we want it yesterday. We don’t realise it’s never just one thing that fixes it! When I went through my 15 years of severe anxiety and depression I was always looking for the one magic formula or pill to get me back to my happy self!! I got a wake up when each thing I did never worked. Why? Because I did not try things for long enough, I had no plan , no right support and never took time to understand what was going on for me. I just thought I would be fixed over night. Long bloody over night 15 years !! Now I help people everyday and show them the way to making positive change . They would all agree it takes hard work, focus of mental and physical areas. It starts with the will to want to make positive change. When you stick at it for long enough the changes happen. Deede's story...😍😍😍 “I started Plexus® because I was tired, overweight, a new Mom and not happy with where things were going. Almond Maple Chicken Ingredients: 9 oz raw chicken breasts - should yield 6 oz cooked (1 Lean) 2 tbsp Walden Farms pancake syrup (1/2 Condiment) 1/4 teaspoon grated fresh lemon rind (1/2 Condiment) 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice (1/4 Condiment) 1/8 tsp pepper (1/4 Condiment) 10 almonds, chopped (1 Healthy Fat) Directions: Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place chicken in a shallow baking pan and then sprinkle with pepper. Combine pancake syrup, lemon rind, lemon juice, and almonds in a small bowl. Pour mixture over chicken. Well, it's time⏰ I found health 💪🏼 through an attempt to help a family member avoid weight loss surgery. Myself❓ An RN of many years, healthy eater and cook, loved to walk, jog...do an occasional 5k. ROASTED BROCCOLI PARMESAN with Chicken Makes 4 servings Per serving 1 Leaner protein 3 vegetables 1 ½ condiments 1 fat 28 oz raw, boneless, skinless chicken breast • 1 medium bunch (about 20oz) broccoli with stems • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 2 teaspoons olive oil • 2 & 1/2 cup Rao’s marinara sauce • 1 cup shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese Directions: Preheat oven to 450°F. Dice chicken and cook until pink is gone. (Don’t overcook chicken & keep chicken warm but don’t let it dry out) Trim about 1 inch off broccoli stems and discard. Slice the broccoli stalks in half lengthwise. Place the broccoli and the garlic cloves on a 9-by-13-inch baking pan and spray both sides of the broccoli florets and stems with olive oil. Season both sides with salt and roast cut side up about 10 minutes, until the broccoli is browned on the bottom. Turn the broccoli and garlic and roast an additional 10 minutes until tender and browned and crisp. Add chicken , Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella. It's not a diet. So many times people ask me what diet I am on that I have lost so much weight and what has me feeling so good. The truth is, it is not a diet. A diet to me is something that is fleeting to help you reach a quick or momentary goal. But what I have adopted and what is proven to work for so many people is a healthy lifestyle change. A healthy lifestyle change doesn't just include eating healthy food, it includes training ourselves to adopt healthier habits and get rid of damaging ones. It includes getting good sleep, learning the value of self growth, exercising and strengthening your body, as well as learning what foods make your body happy and function at peak performance. It isn't a quick fix but it is a lifetime fix. It's the type of change that stays because it's not just your diet that evolves but it is you who evolves, as well.
Chicken with Citrus Chimichurri Sauce Makes 4 servings and per serving you receive: · 1 leaner protein · 1 healthy fat · 3 condiments Ingredients: 4 cups of water 1 tbsp. splenda 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 1 tsp. grated orange peel 36 ounces raw chicken breast 4 tsp. olive oil 1/4 cup fresh parsley 1 tbsp. fresh thyme 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 garlic clove 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Directions In a large bowl, whisk water, salt, splenda and peels until salt is dissolved. Add chicken, making sure it's submerged. Refrigerate up to 2 hours. Pulse sauce ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Reserve 1/2 cup sauce for serving. Remove chicken; rinse and pat dry. Brush chicken with remaining sauce. This is so simple and delicious! The perfect Summer Shrimp 🍤 Salad INGREDIENTS: 14 ounces jumbo cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined and chopped 1 1/2 cup tomato, diced 4 1/2 ounces avocado, diced 1/4 cup jalapeno, seeds removed, diced fine 1/4 cup chopped green onion 2 tablespoons lime juice 1 tsp olive oil 1 tbsp chopped cilantro 1/8 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon fresh pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: In a small bowl combine green onion, lime juice, olive oil, pinch of salt and pepper. Let them marinate at least 5 minutes to mellow the flavor of the onion. In a large bowl combine chopped shrimp, avocado, tomato, and jalapeno. Combine all the ingredients together, add cilantro and gently toss. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
