Happy Chinese Valentine 💛💛💛
One of the most fun shoots of my summer so far, just floating in my tube with my camera and a cheap 50mm lens, making the most of the smokey conditions, definitely a risk but couldn’t have been more worth it, taking photos with zero direction just enjoying life before this next round of travel starts
Be so busy loving your life that you have no time for hate, regret or fear.
Rainscapes: Peace of Mind 💆♀️
My favorite tracks to listen to when I need a little decompression are rainstorms and the sounds of the ocean. There's just something about the sound and feeling of rain and waves that's similar to your thoughts being wiped clean, even if only for a moment. Any negative energy built up over the week, self-induced or external pressure, anything that may be causing you to worry and not sleep as well at night, all completely gone.
Some of my favorite childhood memories involve rain: My family and I used to huddle up on our giant front or back porch and watch as the sky was torn to shreds of purple and blue-white light. I remember downpouring, drenched games of tennis and soccer with my brother, sliding around in the grass, our arms and legs caked in mud. I remember beating my family at a game of Scrabble, chocolate milk in hand, while the rain fell softly outside... There are almost too many memories, including the one in the pictures above. And I'm sure there are many to come.
Golden Gardens Park. One of the creations created by the WPA during the Great Depressions. If only they got to see the BEAUT it has become.

Well, I couldn't stay away for long. I was initially planning on heading out to Boston, but after a lot of thought, I ultimately decided the PNW was where I was meant to travel to. In exactly 37 days I will be back in my favorite city with some of my favorite people! See you soon, Seattle! 🤘
Learning to love the imperfect photos//here is Dill in front of the Crazy Mountains, photo taken July 2017.
Much pf the wildfire smoke covering Portland pushed east today. You could actually see Mt. Hood, which is still blanketed in smoke. But much better air quality in the city...

Today in sports: Steph Curry said on a podcast today that he wants to be a warrior for life! Does this surprise anyone?

Wasn't sure what to expect with this 2014 Project Noyaux sour from the pioneers at @cascadebrewing
Let me be the first to tell you how pleasantly surprised I am with this bottle. The beer and it's components have held up incredibly well. Noyaux is a blend of sour blonde ales that are aged in oak wine barrels for 2 years. The beer is finished with a boat load of fresh Raspberries & Apricot Noyaux (the pit of an apricot). What has developed over the last 4+ years is something quite delicious. First, tight prickly carbonation that gives way to that signature sour blast Cascade is known for. Then the oak presence and what I assume would be the noyaux really mellow out the sour bite and gives a great canvas for the fruit to shine through. Even after all this time, the Raspberry is bright, acidic, slightly jammy and truly the element that brings everything together. For a forgotten beer in a box in the basement, it sure did deliver. Cheers!
