I'm always on the lookout in trying something new that's labeled as "healthy," but does it taste good, has harmful ingredients, and is it cost effective. I found this black soybean pasta at Aldi's tonight for $2.89 for 4 servings. It claims that it is organic, vegan, high in fiber (11g by the way that is a lot) 25g of protein which is also a lot and only 3g of sugar, 10mg of sodium, 19g of carbs, 3g of fat, and 180 calories per 2oz serving. The only ingredient listed on the box is organic black bean soy flour. No artificial preservatives or additives. Most whole wheat and regular pastas are 40+ grams of carbohydrates per serving so this product cuts the carbs in half. I'll prepare it tomorrow as my Meatless Monday dinner after my tabata class since I will need the protein and carbs post workout. I'll post a picture of my dish as well as let you know how it fares in terms of cooking, texture and taste. I hope it's good lol.
