Murder on the orient express in Cairns ~
Murder on the orient express follows Christies famous detective Hercule Poirot as he tries to solve the murder of an unsavoury character on a train made immobile by a snowdrift. The book contains an array of odd characters and slowly uncovers there true motivations and personalities through Poirots detective abilities. This is probably Christies most famous book. ~
This is my second book of Agatha Christies that I have read and although I did enjoy it I prefer the other one I read (and then there where none) I quite want to read more of her books though and I would say that they are a perfect accompaniment to short journeys, partly because of the writing style and partly the book size. I read this book while exploring Cairns and suffering from a minor cold and found it an ideal distraction when distraction was necessary. ~
I would recommend this book as a commute (bus or train to work) book and i would recommend it to anyone who enjoys puzzles and problem solving and period pieces. ~
The photos are a view from the lagoon, the bat tree in Cairns and the pho I had for my cold. Also I learned more about Mrs Christie by listening to @thehistorychicks
a very interesting podcast.

What an adventure this past week has been. Chasing elk in the San Juan mountains of Colorado has been one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Until next time, Colorado ✌
I hope everyone’s having a rad week, being their best selves, and making waves.
Smoky bars, sweaty dancing, one too many mojitos, the best music in the world. Cuba is playing to you. Whether rumba, salsa or jazz - you really need to see - and hear Cuba. Let My Amigo in Cuba plan a vacation for you, and only you.
Many of you might not know this about me, but I was a tree planter for three summers. Who else has ever tree planted before?! . .
Over my three years, I planted over a quarter of a million trees, worked and lived in three different provinces and met some life long friends. Working in the extreme conditions (including weather and remoteness), I had some of the worst days of my life, as well as some of the best. It's hard to explain what tree planting is like to a non planter. Overall, the description doesn't sound great. Long days, crazy weather, no cell service, living in a tent and you only make money if you work your ass off. For some reason though, when you embrace the life of being a planter, tree planting becomes one of the most desirable jobs. . .
It isn't just about the money or the crazy work conditions. The thing that makes planting an unforgettable experience is the community you become part of. Fellow planters become your family. You travel with them, couch surf with them and just somehow find better connections with planters than non planters. It's hard to explain, but if you're a planter you probably know what I’m talking about. I miss all you “pounders”, “highballers” and “cache sluts” out there. I’m constantly wondering if I have one more season in me, but for now, my shovel is still hung up for the year. .

This was supposed to be a hot springs but it was definitely cold. It was still such a beautiful spot though with tons of dragonflies everywhere.

Travel while you're young and able. Don't worry about the money, just make it work. Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be!
the people i hitchiked with...u really made the trip...Setc buses would not have taken me to all the places...and i might have slept along tea workers and traveled at top of the bus, this thing can wait for next time...:)
due to limited no of buses to meghmalai(two buses in entire day and limited public vehicles are allowed, that makes the place intact).i had to hitchhike the place with wonderful bikers from cochin...so i missed the opportunity to travel on top of the bus...
The only place in megamalai with road intact..colonial bridge
