First and foremost, I want to thank God and my parents for my genetics lol Anyway, these pictures are only 24 days apart, the first is August 16th, the other is today, Sept 20th. I weigh 210 in both but my body composition has improved a ton. Since I’m just a little over 3 months out of my liver transplant, I can’t supplement at all, not even creatine or preworkout. Muscle memory is a beautiful thing. With that being said, don’t think for a second I don’t work my ass off. I workout 6 days a week, eat clean, and I will tell you that this has been one of the harder things I’ve ever gone through, and I’m blessed to be alive. I tag a lot of my stuff now with #liftingsavedmylife
because it did. If I hadn’t been in good shape going into this my body would have given up before I got a liver. I have to also say thank you to all of you guys that have encouraged and supported me, I appreciate it infinitely. Onward and upward.
“If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.” The biggest excuse I hear is “I can’t”
That doesn’t fit in my vocabulary! It is an excuse with the definition of “I don’t want to,” or “I won’t.” I’m proud of the direction my life is going. It is an uphill battle but there is no quit in me. I hear so many excuses and hypocritical statements from others claiming things are important. What seems more important is meddling in other’s lives and trying to drag them down. Whether insecurities are getting the best of them or they are jealous of the success and lives of others. I’ve seen it all and dealt with it first hand. I’m living my life the way it was set forth for me to live. The failures just lead to successes and the resistance is just fuel for my fire and drive!
My answer is the same “I’m sorry you feel that way.” While the rest make excuses, I’ll see you all at the top! 💪🏻

I’ve been MIA from Instagram lately because of how busy I’ve been so I haven’t posted in like a month 🤷🏼♂️
A few weeks ago I tweaked my back deadlifting and I’ve really been struggling since then. I physically wasn’t able to squat or deadlift more than 135 without pain in my back/hips for over 3 weeks 🙄
I took a little time off the gym and tried my best to rest and recover hoping my body would feel better. Two weeks ago I gave up and said I wasn’t going to compete because of how much pain I was in. But you know what...that whole quitting thing isn’t for me and I’ve never given up on anything that I truly wanted before so why start now 💪🏼
So here I am 3 weeks away from Powermania just trying to pull it all together last minute. I’m still in pain but it’s not as bad and I figured I’d rather compete and not do as well as I planned than to just give up. I’m still hoping to do well and I still have a little time to bring my best to the platform and hit some new PR’s 💪🏼
Never quit and if you think your struggling just realize it could always be much worse. 3 more weeks to see what I’m made off! 😊

The quote in the photo made a profound impact on me back in college. After I heard it, it changed how I conceptualized studying and my personal growth. For example, instead of cramming for tests like most, I studied a little everyday to prepare. Not only did I do well on the exams, but I retained the content much longer, felt more prepared and confident, and felt less stressed overall. After all, this was content I would need to know long-term and practice.
To make your growth intentional, strategic, and effective, you need to think it through and plan it well. As you plan your strategy for growth and set aside time for it, don’t forget that the more you grow, the more specific the growth should be to your needs and strengths, and anytime you discover that a book, audiobook, interview, or conference doesn’t possess the value you’d hoped for, move on. Don’t waste your time on anything of low value. Often the most difficult part of the upward climb of growth is putting into practice what you learn, yet that is where the true value is. The final test of any learning is always application. If what you’re learning can be used in some way to help and improve you or others, then it is worth the effort.
Why do I believe you can do so much to help yourself and others around you? Because every day I have more to give. That’s what happens when you seek and experience improvements daily. Your potential grows, and so does your ability to make an impact on your world. The greatest of all miracles is that we need not be tomorrow what we are today. The greatest of all insights is that we cannot be tomorrow what we do not do today. That is why today matters.

I was a little scared to cut my hair y'all, not gonna lie. But, guess what? I JUMPED. I know this is such a small symbol of getting out of my comfort zone. But, these past two months have been nothing but getting out of my comfort zone and jumping! You guys. Coaching has been so beneficial to my life and it's motivated me more than anything. Having a tribe of girls doing the same things as YOU with the same goals, the same visions, the same values/morals as YOU is so so rewarding. My passion for fitness has grown stronger!! I'm living my best life right now and it's only getting better from here!! Anyway, just thought I'd do a little happy rant on how my life is going right now. Since I haven't posted in a few days!!
