It’s apple picking season on the east coast and I’m on the @medicalmedium #AppleChallenge
! I’ve learned so much from Anthony about this healing fruit. I’m working with organic apples for #digestivehealth
and stiffness, and for #migraines
, so these apples have become my #antiinflammatory
to kick any viruses to the curb. I’m at 3 apples a day and I feel pretty great along with 32oz of celery first thing every AM!!! Here are some notes that MM has shared about the healing powers of apples:
“Apples act as an #antiinflammatory
, feeding neurons and increasing electrical activity. They are toning for the digestive tract, and amazing for #weightloss
. Apples have traces of flavonoids that aid in detoxing from #heavymetals
. This fruit includes amino acids that naturally detoxify the brain of #MSG
. Apples are great for your lymph, repair damaged skin, and regulate blood sugar. Apple pectins pull bacteria, viruses, yeast, and mold from the #colon
and collects E. coli and #Cdiff
from the intestines which make apples an amazing fruit for #SIBO
and other digestive issues. Apples are also hydrating, contain anti-cancer trace minerals like #manganese
along with electrolytes and critical mineral salts that help the body rehydrate after exercise or stress of any kind.” -Medical Medium #nutrition #lifechangingfoods #anthonywilliam #apples #apple #grassmaven #medicalmediumprotocol
Today has been horizontal.
I had a pretty full on day on Friday with house tidying and visitors and I can time always the PEM to hit 48 hours after. I knew as soon as I woke up today it would be a write off. Today I can't be upright for more than a few moments without it feeling like someone's pulled the plug and my energy is going down the drain. Anyone else get that? When you literally feel it draining from your face?
Anyway, I've spent day laid down, resting, topping up and fluids, electrolytes and pain killers and nibbling to keep the nausea at bay. I had plans for today, a lot of work to do that was supposed to be done a week ago, but my body says no so that's just that. People can wait, work can wait and I'm not going to feel guilty for something out of my control. Its ok to rest when your body isn't cooperating. Its ok to put things off to rest and as hard as it is to not stress, worry and get overwhelmed by an ever growing and urgent to do list, all that does is make things worse.
What's everyone else been up to this Sunday? As rubbish as I've felt physically, I've really enjoyed the peace, quiet, cosy blankets and cat snuggles 💕🐱
When my human is sick she likes to lay in the floor and my job is to stay with her to help her with whatever she needs. I can bring her water and meds when she is too sick to get up and walk to get them. I also can help her know when she is going to get sick so she can try to get ahead of the symptoms.
Do you know what this is⁉️ Herpes zoster, better known as shingles, is a viral infection that causes a painful rash. It is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. After exposure, either from the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or natural infection the virus remains dormant in the nerve roots of our spine and 🧠. Years later, this virus may reactivate & create a rash as pictured above.
Although shingles can occur anywhere on your body, it most often appears as a single stripe of blisters on only ☝🏻side of your body most often the chest. It’s not life-threatening but it sure does hurt 😖. Signs & symptoms may include: ✔️pain or burning of the skin, ✔️fluid or pus-filled blisters or lesions, ✔️itching, ✔️headache 🗣, ✔️redness & sensitivity to touch. Many times, PAIN is the first symptom of shingles 😵 even several days before the rash appears. You can have shingles without the formation of a rash 🤷🏼♀️ so if you experience symptoms w/o the rash, still see your 👨🏻⚕️. Swipe 👉🏻 to see @medicinenet
illustration of how the rash forms. The best treatment is getting on antiviral 💊 such as valcyclovir once the diagnosis is made by a healthcare professional 👩🏼⚕️. Other treatments include #aveeno
oatmeal colloidal baths 🛀🏻, #domeboro
lotion, and pain medications.
A new shingles vaccine launched this year that provides better coverage than years past. #shingrix
is available to those 50 or older, even if you are unsure if you ever had chickenpox. Shingrix is 90% effective at preventing shingles compared to Zostavax which only reduced shingles by 50%❗️Even with a previous history of shingles, it’s recommend you still get vaccinated to ⬇️ the chance of getting it again 👍🏻

"fibromyalgia & myofascial pain syndrome"
... until I got the diagnosis myself in august, I didn't know that you could get both pain syndromes. In 2016, I was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome MPS and in 2018 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I actually have both pain syndromes bc of my (pain)symptoms and discomfort.
: text from the pictures #FibroandMPS
"... Many of those who are already suffering from the pain of fibromyalgia also suffer from myofascial pain syndrome. Myofascial pain syndrome is another form of chronic pain that can affect the entire body, especially the face and the jaw. Myofascial pain can contribute to the already annoying symptoms of fibromyalgia and can contribute to disability and poor quality of life if not properly diagnosed. If you think you have myofascial dysfunction, visit your doctor to discuss your treatment options. However, about 14% of the population develop a chronic form of the syndrome, resulting in persistent pain and discomfort. Myofascial pain disorder is very common in fibromyalgia patients. It was once thought that the myofascial pain syndrome was actually a type of fibromyalgia. However, it is known that this is not the case. It is possible to have both fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial syndrome Effects of MPS on fibromyalgia Having both the myofascial pain syndrome and fibromyalgia can sometimes be quite tiring. Symptoms of MPS and fibromyalgia are very similar, making it difficult for medical professionals to correctly diagnose many people. Without proper diagnosis, a patient can not be adequately treated, which makes his symptoms worse. In addition, myofascial pain can often contribute to the pain caused by fibromyalgia, making life much harder to enjoy ..."

Equinoxes are so special to me because they invite us to contemplate our True Nature, which is Infinite. The balance and sacred pause between Night and Day, Darkness and Light, Ending and Beginning offers up a profound reminder: We encompass it All, simultaneously, all of the time. •••
I’ve felt like I’ve been straddling the threshold between worlds for many months now. Some days it feels like being pulled apart by opposing forces, and some days there is a deep peace as I am able to “see” both sides of things and realize opposing forces are really an illusion. We live a dualistic existence here on Earth but the Truth is that duality eventually blends back into Unity. The more I’ve walked this path the more I’ve come to understand that NOTHING is as it seems, but that’s ok because All is One. My heart swells with Gratitude. •••
I saw a specialist on Friday and he freed my bulging disc from the burden of being the only source of my pain. He believes the root issue to be a pinched nerve in my elbow (most likely the ulnar, and I’ve shared an illustration if you swipe left) and I’ll be getting some nerve tests done to prove it. My course of treatment has shifted dramatically and while I was a bit shocked at first, I am really relieved to have answers as to why nothing seemed to be helping with my neck before. The journey is far from over but I am thankful for some answers and a doctor who specializes in nerve pain. •••
May this Autumn season continue to bless us all with clarity and renewed focus. I am so thankful for the sacred pause and reorientation. For the simultaneous release and opening to something new. I hope it brings you Joy too. I know this year has been hard for so many, and I am sending out my love. Mabon Blessings, y’all.

My baby Checkers had to go to the vet earlier this week. She is biting and scratching at herself and if I pushed at the back of her neck she would shudder and her back leg would go nuts. Vet thought maybe fleas but we couldn’t find any. Turns out it’s most likely nerve pain from being 16. So she’s on prednisone now just like Sam is. But she’s in her fave chair! It’s been forever since she sat there! Maybe now she will go back to sleeping on my head instead of under the bed!

Some days are just a struggle, I don't care about anything other than pain management today which means about 50% of my day will probably be spent in a bath. My osteopath appointment isn't till Tuesday and I'm gonna struggle getting to then, who knows what's going, nerve pain, tendonitis, it's just excruciatingly painful and much as I've tried to smile through it and just power on, it has broken me, today I'm a broken woman. On a positive note I booked to get my hair done 🙌🏻 so I can finally look 36 not 76 👌🏻 look at me still trying to make jokes, ok that's enough for today, I will now go back to my pity party 😩 #brokenwoman #nervepain #tendonitis #imnotgoodwithpain #blogger #lifestyleblogger #fashionblogger #fotd #alifeinlittleboxes #pitypartyoverhere
This is getting ridiculous now. The feelings I'm getting are beyond a joke. Got myself an elbow support and even a bit of tubular bandage. These would probably work great if I wasn't a mum of 3 with a house to run and dog to look after.
Also, if that wasn't bad enough, I have zero appetite and everything I do eat makes me vomit. The medication my gp has tried me on hasn't helped, especially not my mental health.
Awaiting the MRI results to come back to find out what's next.

I treated a lovely lady yesterday who has suffered for years with cold legs at night which wake her up. She resorts to bandaging them, turn on heaters and wears thermals. After one treatment, her response this morning included the word ‘miracle’ and she had no pain last night. #perthkeytherapy
Insomnia’s better with snuggles💖💜
And compression eye masks. .
Could do without the nerve pain tho
Just waiting for this flare to pass . 😔 I’ve been getting warning signs from my body that this has been coming . I’ve learned that I get ulcers in my mouth, dry tight skin, and the most annoying very severe acne breakouts(which I never dealt with before I got sick) on my face and chin. There’s also other warning signs I’ve kept track of,but I can’t even think of them right now I’m so tired. It’s really hard mentally to keep a good mindset when your stuck in bed .Thankfully my nurse was able to stop by today and set up an infusion for me so hopefully better days will come soon. 🤞🏻🙃 Happy First day of Fall peeps! 🍁🍂🍁Hopefully this season treats us better than summer.
This morning I was woken up by a really bad migraine.😖 It took a couple hours, but they were able to get orders for my migraine medication and that helped quite a bit. My entire face also swells a lot when I get migraines. (See photo for comparison.) Do any of you get that?
I also went on a🚶♀️to Starbucks (in the hospital) because it’s important for my back to keep up some level of activity. Also, with POTS my body deconditions way faster than the average person and that can lead to more fainting and dizziness. 🤯 This is a small victory because I haven’t left my room since Wednesday. 💪🏼
Finally, my GI’s PA came by today and she said the endoscopy showed some gastritis, but that doesn’t explain my pain. We discussed the fact that I’ve had endoscopies before where there was still a lot of food left in my stomach 16+ hours after eating it (you should only have 10% of food left after 4 hours) and that the medication I had yesterday for nausea seemed to help my pain quite a bit. So, they think I might have gastroparesis. She said the gastritis might be from food sitting in my stomach and causing inflammation. So they’re putting me on a medication before meals to see if that helps.
Infrared therapy is the exposure of the skin to infrared light (800nm–1200nm wavelength) over sessions lasting on average, 30 minutes. These wavelengths are outside of the visible band, although their effects can be felt on the skin, in the form of gentle heating. The waves penetrate the skin to a depth of 4cm, without the hazards of UV light, and are gentle enough to rewarm babies in the NICU. IR therapy is described as easy to use, safe & effective, with side effects such as hyperthermia only seen in cases where the infrared has been improperly administered by untrained persons.
The application of infrared to the skin causes an increased peripheral blood flow, due to vasodilatation, which reduces edema (swelling), limits inflammation and pain, encourages the removal of cellular waste, releases endorphins, and enhances muscle repair. After infrared therapy, there appears to be a significant improvement in skin blood flow.
A study on patients with chronic lower back pain showed a 50% reduction in pain over a six-week period. It has even been implicated in boosting the regeneration of nerves, suggesting its application in rehabilitation following nerve damage.
Studies in Japan have suggested that infrared therapy can improve exercise capacity, quality of life, and cardiac function in patients suffering from congestive heart failure.
Similar findings have also been put forth for patients suffering from COPD and chronic fatigue syndrome, suggesting that infrared therapy could present a novel adjunctive therapy for patients suffering from chronic illnesses, to help manage symptoms, and improve day to day functioning. If you want to see a really exciting story about putting away clothes go check my stories 😂
In all seriousness, I posted it, and the videos explaining after, to highlight some if the difficulties faced in doing simple chores when you're chronically ill, and why pacing is key. I started around 4pm, hadn't done anything but rest for the whole day up to then, and finished about 8pm. That's all I'll manage today and certainly wouldn't manage that every day.
There's a lot of thought, effort and planning goes into every single task I do in a day. If I want to get anything done it needs to be planned, right down to the timed breaks for resting and eating. If not I do too much and put myself in bed for days, or get nothing done due to being overwhelmed.
Pacing is really hard work but proper energy management is the only way I can keep on top of my home, self care and work!
The two faces of #chronicpain
two photos taken just 3 days apart. I pass for normal in the 2nd photo right? Look closely.......My hair is freshly washed, but hadn't been washed for 9 days prior to last night, as I had been in too much pain and too exhausted to stand in the shower. You can see my grey roots and split ends because I've been too poorly and too skint to go to my hairdresser. I'm wearing make up to cover the dark rings under my eyes from enduring muscular and nerve pain, the constant muscle spasms, nausea and brain fog that I wade through each day. I'm wearing make up to cover the massive amount of spots that I've got due to the cocktail of medications I take through the day. I'm wearing a faint smile, because I know that I'm having a "better" day and I'm going to get to leave the house with my 4 year old son. I have an #invisibleillness
. From the outside looking in, I probably look fine.....but I'm really not. My body is broken. Every day I count my spoons, but this evening I've run out! #fibromyalgiaawareness #fibromyalgia #nervepain #spoonielife #struggle #bekindalways #happytobealive
Why not break the mould, I certainly did and been through a life where health struggles are an everyday occurrence but I never gave up and fight 365 every damn day!!!
If you're reading this post, It's because I want you to.
My story starts with great sadness and a very dark place, but heads towards a magnificent comeback, full of fulfillment and life, thanks to a huge shift that happened in my life.
2 Years ago, I wanted to end it.
One day out of nowhere, it hit me.
The chronic pain. The endless doctors and specialist trips with no resolve in sight. The shroud of depression that came and took hold of me. That wouldn't leave me. For days I'd just lay in bed, not wanting to get out. I had made the decision that if no solution was found, I had made the decision to end my life.
After many specialist tests, I was diagnosed with the debilitating Ankylosing Spondylitis. I was fighting a chronic inflammatory condition that had me bed bound for many months at a time and had me in and out of hospital for what seemed at the time, an endless number of operations.
Even with all the operations and medications, I was not given the given the guarantee that I would ever be fully healed of this condition, and that I would wear this for the rest of my life.
Whilst dealing with all of this, I found it hard to get back to what I knew as a normal life. Without pain. Without feeling lost. Without feeling helpless. The depressive state that I had fallen into was debilitating me from living and I knew I needed something to help break me from the prison in my mind.
A truly life changing moment happened to me. I was presented with an opportunity to give back. I met with a health mentor who showed me how I could make some changes to how I lived, what I put into my body, how I treated my body, how I treated my mind. Taking what I was learning and how I was applying these changes to my life, I realised that I needed purpose in my life again, and that to serve people, and help others in my situation, who were living with chronic illnesses and diseases, that I would teach and show them how to live better.
I made it my mission. To share my story with one, two, hundreds, thousands of people. Everyday. To show them how they can regain purpose in their lives again. How they can come from adversity and despair, and regain their lives again.
I live with chronic nerve pain. Copaiba is my friend ☺️ Since the 16th century, copaiba essential oil has been utilized in traditional health practices by the natives of north and northeastern Brazil. Similar to Black Pepper essential oil, Copaiba can help soothe anxious feelings and it can be applied to the skin to promote a clear, smooth complexion. Taken internally, Copaiba essential oil supports the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, nervous, and respiratory systems.* Although Copaiba does not contain psychoactive cannabinoids, the main component caryophyllene may be neuroprotective and have cardiovascular and immune benefits.* It’s also a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune health.* * These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Recipe for Healthy pancakes that look like pancakes and my children will acually eat!! My girls wanted pancakes again this morning and it kinda grids on me that there is nothing good in pancakes at all!! I have tried loads of healthy options and they reject all of them!
So this morning seeing as I had soaked my oats in water overnight for my breakfast, I thought I would try something new and it worked really well. I don't know if this is an existing recipe or not but he you go.
1 mug of oats
2 mugs of water (milk if you like)
(Soak over night in the fridge)
1/2 mug oat drink (milk if you like)
In the morning
Drain the oats
Add the oat drink (milk)
Add the egg
This is your batter mix
Get a bloody good non stick pan and cook the pancakes on a med to low heat the mix layer needs to be thin and takes about a minute a side in a standard size omlet pan!
You need to poor the mix in and move it around while looting to coat the pan then leave it alone till you flip it!

På forhånd undskyld! 🙈⠀
Om et par timer går turen til #kronikerfest
og jeg har aldrig mødt nogle af de andre deltagere så jeg er mega spændt, lettere nervøs og glæder mig til en god dag 💃🏼 -
MEN! Jeg er elendig til navne.
Sådan helt ind i knoglerne!⠀
