Found in a coffin selling business near the apartment. Probably works as pest control (from ghost rats no doubt). This one seemed friendly, laying out on the street to enjoy the mid day sun, but bolted inside as soon as I ducked to take a picture. As it retired into the store’s bowels, it dawned on me: what a stupendous idea to have a cat in a coffin store is. As it is widely known that our four legged companions can sense when impending death is near (the reaper probably carries kibble within her robes). Pirata has accompanied all our older cats on their death beds for example. This means that with this one at their side, the store owners never make more coffins than needed, and I can tell from it’s hanging belly and carefree demeanor that it is working ! (Or that rats have a taste fir the dead...). Will try to get some better shots next time. And maybe ask for its name (provided it has one).
This is @waters_peggy neighborhood moocher, fondly nicknamed Orangie or OG. She said, “He gets as close as his stomach will allow.” Cheers to the people who help those and expect nothing in return. We appreciate everything you do. 💜🍸😻 ~Kelly #neighborhoodcat
