It was an awesome gift to be present for @storygathering
in Nashville this week. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and the wonder and magic were thick in that place.
and an amazing team curated incredible talks, amazing performances, emotionally powerful moments, and an amazing atmosphere which awaken wonder within me. I found things stirring in my soul which I had forgotten were there. I left Thursday evening with my soul feeling as full as it’s felt in a long time. I laughed. I cried. And I was reminded of who I am and what I’ve been called to do.
I went to the conference solo but I went with a “meet new friends mentality.” It was awesome to meet so many fascinating and interesting people this week, whose works matters and whose stories inspire me. I loved being in the same experiences with people I’ve talked with online. And it was amazing to use this trip to Nashville turn online friends into in person ones like @andytraub @thismovedme
We live in a world of magic and wonder but often are blind to the signs and deaf to the music. We’re too cynical to believe and we’re too busy to stop long enough to marvel.
I’m writing this from “the mountaintop” but I’ve been changed and I’m excited to share the transformation with you.
To harrisiii @katemharris @kellynjo
and so many others, thank you for a priceless gift!
LET’S GO SMASHVILLE! Sign our petition to change the name to honor our queen @reba

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY IS ALIVE AND WELL, Y'ALL!!! Last night I had dinner in a small family-owned shop here in Nashville. The wife/mother and I had immediately started chatting once I walked in the shop (which is pretty much the norm here.) I had pulled out my laptop to edit my photos when I was waiting for my food and she asked if I could see my photos. She pulled up a chair next to me and I showed her the majority of my edited photos and told her all about what I was doing and how I was travelling around. She was so impressed and told me that her and her husband were thinking about doing something similar. She told me all about the different thing to do in Nashville, safe places, dangerous places, fun events coming up. etc. She had to answer a phone call but then she came back with a plate of garlic bread saying "here baby, these are for you, we're going to stuff ya". Her husband (who also worked at the shop) sat at a table next to me and we started talking about Vegas and how he used to live all over Florida. After I packed up my things I made sure to say goodbye to them. I went to shake her hand over the counter and she said "Oh no baby, I don't do handshakes, I'm a hugger" and she came around the counter and gave me a huge hug and wished me safe travels, that she would keep me in her blessings and that I should be sure and stop by again.
This sort of things has already happened to me a million times ever since I drove into Arkansas. If this happened anywhere else I may have been calling the cops on the walk back to my car. But people are GENUINELY friendly and welcoming here without any ill intentions. People are warm, welcoming and genuinely want to get to know you and be a friend. This is the kind of neighborly-ness that I've been wanting to have so bad but haven't had back home y'all. I love it. I'm so happy here.

This has to be some of the most startling news I’ve found out this past month 😳! Yes, I always knew some of the chemicals in our cleaners were strong and made want to leave the room, but Lung Damage as serious as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day 😧. Fortunately, I have been converting my home over to friendly safer products🌱🍃. I have been getting these products shipped right to my house too! And BEST part they are cheaper than the leading brands in stores. When you know better you do better! What are you cleaning your home with and exposing your family to🤔?

Anyone else ever get that box jump itis? 😰 I recently had an athlete of mine attempt box jumps. The irony is that I had total confidence in her ability, but she didn’t. She felt awkward about her hesitation to jump but I told her that hesitation is actually pretty normal. (And she killed those jumps btw) A few years ago, I used to box jump ALL THE TIME. This was the first I attempted this height in a while, and not gonna lie I hesitated quite a few times before getting one successful. However I found that the capability is still there and I have a goal to revisit. One of the reasons I love fitness is that it really is a lot like day to day life. When we get to a challenging point we can sit back and stay comfortable, or at least attempt to overcome it and grow in the process. Keep up the hustle folks and reach new heights! @resilient_hp #boxjumps #plyometrics #athletictraining #explosivetraining #power #nashville #brentwoodtn #personaltrainer #sportsconditioning
