Sometimes the greatest gift you can yourself is space, silence and stillness. I feel like I learned so much and so little all at the same time. One pearl though, it’s all in there, the capacity to heal (if you want to) is there. It takes listening, intuition, kindness and space. And nothing will come up until you’re ready to deal with it. The body and mind hold so much knowledge and are so intuitive that neither will never give into force until it’s ready. One more step on the path and I’m so grateful🙏🏻
We are super excited to have Wendy Orzog teaching at Firefly! She will be teaching Aerial and Restorative Aerial Yoga. Wendy is a 200 RYT Teacher and a Certified Aerial Yoga Instructor. She is a Certified Reiki Practitioner, Crystal Healing Practitioner, Advanced Guided Meditation Practitioner, Level 1 Aroma Therapist and a Master Mindfulness Practitioner.
While focusing much of her practice on the ground, Wendy took her practice to a “higher” level in 2012, when she started training in Aerial Yoga and became a certified Aerial Yoga instructor in 2017.
Wendy is an avid reader and enjoys learning and discovering new things. She also loves working on a local farm a few days a week and loves being with animals and their pure energy. Animals are natural healers. She is definitely an old soul and enjoys music from the Big Band Era. She is a huge believer in community and volunteering. She certainly believes that "it takes a village". She is a Self-Care Advocate and you will often hear her saying, "You can not pour from an empty cup". Wendy will be teaching on. I’m ready for 6 hours of lectures on meditation...
All happy feels because it’s Friday tomorrow and I had a fascinating and productive week doing my YTT ☺️
Little update, after today 2nd teaching practice in the bag... and even though it’s quite nerve racking trying to find your feet and your authenticity as a teacher I really enjoyed it which is the main thing ☺️✨
When you don’t dread your Monday morning and are glad it has arrived.
But then you have the worst commute ever 😂
Yoga Teacher Training week 2, here we go!
This year I have decided to create a vision board. I have read a lot about them and why people create them... and I decided I should try it.
Vision boards keep us focused. Every time we look at them we’re reminded to get back on track.
For me the main focus is how I want to feel. And even though it’s unrealistic to feel happy 24 hours a day 365 days a year, I want to have a physical item that will remind me and help me focus on things, experiences and people that make me happy and inspire me.
For example I have put pictures of ‘books’ on my vision board as I want to spend more time reading and less time online.
I have also put a picture of a ‘clock and a heart’ on there to remind me to focus on spending more time with people I love and cherish.

Day 2 of YTT complete.
The teacher has set an intention for us for the course - “I am unattached”.
Definitely sounds easier than it actually is in practice. Un-attaching ourselves from the final goal or our competitive human nature and instead of focusing on the journey and seeing where it takes us... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last 2 days I have been doing my best to remember this intention and making it my focal point by staying present and just enjoying every freaking second of it!
I mean how often as adults do we get to take 4.5 weeks off and just focus on ourselves and our self development...
