The thing with visiting wonders of the world is, they’re always swamped with tourists. But for good reason! #JLPinBrazil
To craft the quintessential French Caribbean spirit of rhum agricole, distillers all across Guadeloupe demand only the best sugar cane. That means harvesting this tall grass originally from southeast Asia when its sugar concentration reaches its peak. Depending on rain, soil, strain and other factors, the time for reaping starts in January and can run all the way through June. (At this time all over the island, travelers can sample sugar cane and pressed sugar cane juice in markets.) The cane is at its sweetest near the base, so it’s important to cut the cane as close to ground level as possible. The less-sweet upper stalk and leaves are immediately discarded. From there, the finest cane is off to one of nine distilleries and a future as one of the finest spirits in the Caribbean.
And to think, it all starts with a seven-foot-tall purple grass.

I think we live in a culture that pathologizes people who have strong feelings. who are sensitive. who care more than most.
for us women, I think this is especially true when we are talking about feelings like anger. or anxiety. or sadness. we are so quick to declare that there’s a problem there that needs to be fixed rather than being in inquiry as to the trauma or wounding that lead us to those feelings or honoring us for our sensitivity and emotional intelligence.
it’s no wonder highly sensitive folks often feel dismissed and broken. “if only I didn’t feel so much” becomes our mantra, guilt and shame become our security blanket.
well, let me tell you what they won’t: your sensitivity, your feelings, your caring, is your super power.
in a world that so desperately needs more heart, do not let our emotionally illiterate culture rob you of your greatest strength. you feeling is what gives this whole human thing meaning. #worthywomenrise

We just received our pre-spring delivery from @ullajohnson
and it’s so stunning! 🙌🏼
It’s been a year and 7 months of marriage for us! 🙌🏼 Btw, I don’t really know what we were doing in the picture, but I thought we looked kind of cool!
Temple of Dawn ✨
Wat Arun located directly across the river from Wat Pho is a classic Khmer style temple. If you have not had the opportunity to see Khmer structures yet, Wat Arun is a good place to start with. 💛
I have no words for how wonderful it was to spend the holidays this year with my family. My dad, brother and sister-in-law were the best Christmas present I could ask for.
We were there for a little over two weeks and it was easily the highlight for me for the whole trip.
To be all together and sing, play music, boardgames, puzzles, go sledding, have snowball fights, cook, bake, build, walk and even have a fire on the middle of a frozen river!
I love you three more then words can ever say and it filled my heart to have had this time with you. To experience part of your life and world Ganesh and Anna in Maine, to live off-grid in such stunningly awe inspiring nature.
As much as I think I’m a city girl now, I so quickly when back in nature like this could see myself happily living this life style. It’s not an easy path by any means to have chosen to go down, it takes a lot of hard work and determination by you guys doing it and all with such grace and love. I am so very happy for you, as well as so incredibly proud and inspired by you both!
Sending you all my love, it was the hardest thing to do to leave you all and such a chunk of my heart behind.
I’m always stuck inside a moment
The only thing more exciting than actually starting a project like we’re doing with @farthermag
is when people share the same excitement and express their curiosity as to what we’re up to. To see people willing to contribute their creative expressions, which can at times feel vulnerable, to a blank canvas we’re laying out is... confirming. I think everyone likes to be a part of something, certainly me included - and I’m glad I am. -
If you would like to submit photography, writing, or anything creative for that matter, we want to hear from you! Volume one of @farther
is in the makings, feeling free to email us. email@example.com
For those who have already reached out and contributed - thank you sincerely! -

Monotonous, depressing, uniformity or awkward silence. Those descriptions are all true, once you stepped under this mondern monstrosity, your mind will be flooded with overwhelming impressions that cannot be summed up by just one word. And you see people walk in and out this place, few with an indifference toward the place because they learned how to settle in their lifes. And growing up in narrow spaces, you have to be more resolut if you dont have the luxury of a choice. Like there is an invisible force behind people, constantly reminding them going one step further than other people. This is the beautiful and at the same time cruel message of this George Orwell's instagrammable dystopia.
Sunshine state of mind 🌞 ...kidding I just finished defrosting my car 🤷🏽♀️ #takemeback
It was beautifully sunny but cold as we mosied around the park.
Central Park is a peaceful sanctuary from the concrete jungle. There is something almost magical in the air as the temperature drops, fallen leaves are mowed to mulch and as the beautifully bare trees adorn the walkways.
Central Park's 843 acres of meandering paths and scenic trails leading to idyllic ponds is a must see even in winter.
Did you know there are:-
• 20 playgrounds
• 36 bridges
• 48 fountains, monuments/sculptures and
• 1 zoo open 365 days a year ?
This photo was at The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir also know as the Central Park Reservoir.

Cloud forest is a beautiful indoor garden. If you are looking for something nice to do, and/or something that will get you out of the heat, then go walk through the Cloud Forest. It's beautiful and refreshing after sweating outside. It's also walkable from the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. 🇸🇬 🙏
If you can’t be in awe of Mother Nature, there’s something wrong with you. I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery – air, mountains, trees, and flowers. I thought, “This is what it is to be happy” 😀😉
The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. It. represents the fragility & the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short 🌸🍃
