At church this weekend, the pastor talked about CAREER versus CALLING. I struggle with putting my value and worth into my success at work. From the time I was 6 years old I’ve been driven towards college and a career. Even though I changed career paths when I got to college, I’ve always been really focused and driven. •
I’ve been able to work really hard and do well. When my friend became an online health and fitness coach, I dismissed it as “not my thing”. Then, when she replaced her full-time nurse I come with online coaching income and started coaching full time, the opportunity caught my attention, but I wasn’t really LOOKING for another job, let alone something like THAT (another network marketing person?!) I liked going to work, I didn’t have plans to leave the corporate world, and I place so much value on my career that I thought I’d be embarrassed to say “online health and fitness coach” as my job title.
It turns out, that you don’t have to give up your current job to do well at coaching. It turns out that if you feel CALLED to do something, God will HAPPILY use you. And it turns out that someone else thinking that an opportunity is silly doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.
Rather than using social medial JUST to scroll and stalk (if you think I don’t still check out instagram accounts of the bachelor in paradise cast to see who is still together, you’d be wrong), I use it to grow a BUSINESS that’s built on EMPOWERING and encouraging women to live the BEST versions of their lives and to live up to their full potential. Not because I believe I’m the BEST person to do so, but because I am WILLING and I feel CALLED to do so and because I think the world NEEDS more women empowering other women. I know FIRSTHAND the power of encouragement and accountability.
This opportunity wasn’t what I was looking for, but then again, I didn’t know WHAT I was looking for!
Are you curious about whether or not this could be for you? I’m hosting an online info session info what I do as a coach NEXT week and I’d LOVE to have you join us!
