This snow storm has me ready to get back out there on these @yukoncharlies
snowshoes! Just like hiking, snowshoeing can be as easy as you want, or as hard as you want! Anyone can get out there and do it, and it’s a great way to explore the beautiful Michigan State Parks.

Here is another shot from my trip to Big Point Stable. All of this ice stuck to thin brush branches and the ice has grown quite large. I love all the contrast in this image. The dramatic sky, the line of the break wall, and the light filtering through the ice make for an interesting composition.
It was a nice evening for a walk to Big Point Sable Lighthouse. Not many people are willing to do the hike this time of year, but it was worth it today. There was a lot of interesting ice in the area.
Wide open spaces within the sprawl. Welcoming the day with my dog and a roll of film.
Sunday was our first time to Seven Lakes State Park and we had a blast! “Day hikes” will be a normal occurrence this year.
