Yes. My son tried to nurse Mickey Mouse’s nose.
We walked up to the legendary mouse and Archer’s face lit up. As we inched closer he opened his mouth, reached out with his hand and pulled Mickey toward him. Then started sucking.
Mickey expertly unlatched him. We suspected it wasn’t the first time his nose was confused for a nipple, there’s no way that was simply a reflex move. It was one of the funniest, and most bizarre things I’ve seen.
On a side note, my personal love for Mickey and all things Disney began as a young child. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, three year-old me responded that I wanted “to marry Mickey Mouse and live in Disneyland.” Perhaps in a parallel universe (with inter species dating, of course) Mickey could have been Archer’s father.
What bizarre — yet hilarious — things have your kids done lately?
PS, special thanks to the AMAZING @magic_kingdom_mamas
for this photo. Wouldn’t have happened without them! They shared their best hacks for Disneyland, including this special spot where we met Mickey with ZERO wait time! I wrote about them for @babycenter
last summer, but you can check out their profile for a link to their site for oodles and oodles of tips for visiting the Magic Kingdom.
