🤤HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SAUCE (LOW CARB & LOW CALORIE)🤤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Made without all the added carbs and calories so you can enjoy the sauce without thinking twice 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m not crazy about people tracking sauces and marinades as I think it can become a bit ridiculous but I am mindful of what I make my sauces with so I know what’s going to be contributing to my energy sources for the day! If you want to track this before adding to foods for the sake of macros absolutely do so if it will make you feel better but otherwise just enjoy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I make this sauce every week that I’m not on prep because I LOVE it that much. It tastes good on everything too in my opinion! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SAVE this post for your next day of meal prep! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Combine to your desired taste/consistency or color: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (In order of most used ingredient to least) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Soy Sauce ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Walden farms maple syrup ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sweet chili sauce from Trader Joe’s ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Optional: Ginger, Garlic, chili flakes, other spices of choice (adding something like coconut flour or corn starch will help the sauce thicken up too!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can also make this with honey if you don’t want to use Walden farms zero calorie maple syrup. If you do this it will taste more like a sweet honey soy sauce glaze (omit the sauce from Trader Joe’s) than teriyaki sauce but I’ve tried it before and it is good. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Does this sound good to you? Here's what I did NOT do: finish my last workout, then run over and take my after photos. In fact, I finished my last workout Thursday morning, used a generous amount if dry shampoo, and ran out the door for work. These "after" photos came 2 days later, not having worked out since (no muscle pumping). Here's what I DID do: followed the workout program, it was only 4 days a week. I stuck to the meal plan, ate a ton of food while following the guidelines, and took advantage of the built in cheat day. I was successful with the help from my team who kept me accountable. I did not (and still don't) have a goal weight. My goal during this program was to FEEL strong. Now I AM STRONG AF.

I prepared the monday‘s breakfast for our morning snacks. Monday S1: cheesy spinach egg wrap L: Mine > high protein homemade bread with roast beef ( instead of tofu ) and spinach Him > red lentils salad, sweet potato salad with tahini dressing, pomegranate quinoa & 🥑 salad topped with beef steak ( he will have this for the next three days ) D: sweet potato salad with sautéed zucchini and spinach and he will get his usual Protein PB Porridge Tuesday L: Red lentils salad & Greek salad ( I’m out of edamame pasta so I just used up my lentils since they are high in protein ) D: gonna have protein quinoa bowl topped with warm berries and walnuts ( supposed to be tuesday‘s breakfast ) Snacks: protein bread with PB and figs Wednesday L: Pomegranate Quinoa and Avocado salad with lemon dressing, and also the rest of my sweet potato salad. Gonna topped it with chickpeas for the protein D: Fall breakfast for Dinner, I prepared the butternut squash and Brüssel sprouts so I just need to crack the eggs just before I eat the dinner. Snacks are prepared for both of us. Brownie Protein Bites Makes 10 bites ½ cup almond flour or almond meal 2 scoops Whey Protein, chocolate flavor 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons almond, cashew or sunflower butter 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons water ½ cup mini chocolate chips In a medium bowl mix together the almond flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, almond butter, honey and water until a dough forms. Form the dough into 1 inch balls. Place the chocolate chips on a plate and roll the balls of dough into the chocolate chips. Place the balls on a parchment lined pan and chill until ready to eat.

I've seen the concept all over #pinterest and Insta for a while now, but never thought to try it until yesterday when I wasn't sure what to do with a lone sweet potato I had sitting around. YALL DIS IS DA SHIT. I made sure to pick up enough sweet potatoes at the market yesterday so that I could eat this for breakfast all week. What I did: -Bake sweet potatoes at 425° for 40-60mins. WEEKLY STAPLES! This weeks meal prep picture is all about what i’ve been eating lately. It’s safe to save am a little obsessed with sweet potato and butternut squash. I roast them in avocado oil, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. They taste a-m-a-z-i-n-g 😍. Boiled eggs make such a great 👍 quick breakfast or snack. Tinned fish has been a super easy way of getting protein in. My two favourites are tuna and salmon from @aldiuk The bottom two snacks are what I take to work every day. INGREDIENTS: olive oil spray 1 tbsp olive oil 1/2 medium onion, diced 1/3 cup chopped bell pepper 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 medium tomato, diced 6 oz turkey kielbasa, diced 2 cups baby spinach 5 large whole eggs, beaten 4 large egg whites 1/3 cup fat free milk (or milk of choice) 1/3 cup all purpose flour* 1/2 tsp salt 1/8 tsp black pepper 3 oz shredded cheddar cheese *For gluten free use GF all purpose flour. DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a nonstick muffin pan with olive oil spray. Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and salt for 5 minutes, until soft, add bell peppers, garlic, tomato, kielbasa sauté for another 5 to 7 minutes. Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 1 minute. Set aside. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the eggs, egg whites, milk, flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Add the cheese and cooked kielbasa mixture to the bowl and mix well. Pour into the prepared muffin pan and bake for 28 to 30 minutes, or until firm. Two things I often hear regarding meal prepping. I don't like eating the same thing - You DON'T have too. If you have the time then make two or three different meals. One thing I do #lazycook is have one base e.g. a choice of protein like chicken or fish #versatile so I can pair it with many other things. I personally have no issues eating the same thing. If I'm honest and reflect back, I was eating the same Pizza, same Doritos (with Maltesers) #dontjudgeme , same oversized plate of Pounded Yam etc and never complained about it being the same food. Most of us eat the same thing 🤷🏿‍♀️ so why is it an issue when it comes to conscious eating? - - - I don't like meal prepping - Planning and prepping your meals is a very individual thing. This is my way but it's by no means the only way. You may not like meal prepping but if you know your constantly falling prey to office treats or the drive by take out spot then 'some' planning is required in order to succeed. We may not always like the progress but we love the results. Looking for something delicious, comforting and warming for this lovely autumnal weather? Try this tomato and lentil soup, the recipe below is a nice starter recipe that makes a lot of portions so I'll freeze the extra portions and add extras (paprika, chilli, bacon) to individual portions to create nice variations for lunches and suppers. Tomato and Lentil Soup (makes 10 portions) 3 cups chopped mixed veg (I used a mix of leeks, onions, mushrooms, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, kohl rabi as it's the frozen mix I had, use whatever you have available or is in season) 3 cloves garlic 2 cups mixed lentils (I use a mix of yellow split peas, red lentils and green speckled lentils from @refill.revolution ) 2 cans chopped tomatoes 4 tbsp tomato paste 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp @leaandperrins Worcester sauce 1 tbsp mixed herbs 1 tbsp oregano 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper 2 tbsp butter 6 pints stock (use whichever you prefer) 1. Melt the butter in a pan and add garlic and vegetables, cook for 10 minutes. 2. Add all remaining ingredients cook on a low simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. 3.
