Master Copy I did for Viscom 5. The master is N.C Wyeth and the name of the painting is "Hunters with bear". The class was one of the best at ACCD. Thanks Bob! You opened my eyes how to make a balance and do many things for artwork. 👍
An assignment from @feliciaforte
from a few months ago. Felicia introduced me to the work of Euan Uglow and gave me five paintings to choose from and do a master copy (16”x 24”) in 4 hrs., which is funny because I found out that Uglow is probably one of the slowest painters that ever lived! He took many long breaks to analyze his work and used meticulous measuring techniques that would put you to sleep. This lesson taught me a lot about economizing my brushwork and keeping my color clean. My other choices to copy were portraits and a banana, but honestly, this was the most beautiful dead duck I’ve ever seen! Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dead duck....🤔 outside of a restaurant, that is. Swipe left to see my process.

Hello there Instagram! If you haven’t noticed already, it’s been a pretty darn long while since I’ve posted anything... I do not have much of an excuse, I took a break from social media at one point and when I got back on I did not have much time or motivation to post. However, I now see the importance of sharing my work and being intentional with my time and talents, so I hope that through sharing and connecting, I will become more inspired to create!
Update: this last semester, I went back to SSC for one non-degree seeking semester, and now I’m taking one semester completely off to raise money and build up my portfolio before I go to university!
Over these next couple of weeks, I will be posting different pieces I have done over the year, including some paintings and even PRINTS I have made in printmaking this semester!
The paintings posted here are the ones I did in my painting 2 class
My assignments were :
1) Self portrait that includes two different masters’ works/styles
2) Triptych (I made a still life of fabric)
3) Urban landscape
Hope you enjoy!
Here’s to a new season of inspiration!
