I want to talk to you guys about weight for a second. Do you know the difference in weight between these two photos? Honestly, maybe a pound or two.
I have been so frustrated with the scale, not understanding how my weight has barely dropped, and thinking I wasn’t making any progress.
My body does not drop weight very easily anymore. I have to rely on photos and measurements to determine any change.
The scale does NOT measure how much muscle you have vs how much fat you have. If you are consistently lifting, like myself, you are most likely losing fat but gaining muscle! The scale may stay the SAME but you’re getting smaller, you have less fat and you’re clothes fit better.
Lastly, it doesn’t tell you how healthy your heart is, how healthy your hormones are, or how strong your immune system is.
I know it’s hard but try not to focus on the number so much and enjoy life. move your body to feel better, have more energy, and feel like a badass when you crush weights or bust out a new sprint record.
Love your body for the amazing temple it is and what it can do for and does do for you.
