Na imagem acima, eu coloco o valor calórico de cada macronutriente, algo simples e que pode nos ajudar a entender alguns conceitos ao mesmo tempo que o poder sacietógeno de cada um. Não coloco para dizer que a única coisa que importa é o valor calórico, claro que há muitas outras coisas em jogo, dependendo do objetivo, mas não há dúvidas que essa é sim uma informação importantíssima. Vamos a alguns exemplos: 👉”eu reduzi muito os carboidratos e não emagreço”. Essa é uma frase comum: em geral, dietas low carb de fato levam a perda de peso mais rápido, pois como há um aumento na proporção de proteína, a saciedade aumenta. Porém, simplesmente cortar alguns carboidratos ao longo do dia, não levará à resultado algum se houver substituição por outros alimentos, principalmente os ricos em gordura, mais calóricos. Aqui entra também a questão do “carboidrato à noite”: nenhuma evidência que cortá-lo trará efeitos além da redução calórica. 👉Outro exemplo: uso exagerado de suplementos proteicos (como whey). Ah, mas é proteína! Proteína tem calorias, e em excesso também engorda. A suplementação tem seu papel em algumas situações, mas é comum as pessoas esquecerem do valor calórico, atrapalhando a perda de peso. 👉Outra situação é achar que em dietas baixas em carboidratos, comer bastante bacon e carnes com capa de gordura é “permitido”. You would say that this oatmeal looks like them all that I eat and it is not something special with it (thing that may be a liiiil true) buuut, for the likers/lovers or just people who want to try foods, here we have VANILLA GINGER PROTEIN OATMEAL🥄🥄🥄 Mate, Im not a big fan of ginger, but this, this oatmeal, BOOOOM It has a kind of a minty flavour and combined with vanilla and yogurt.. AYE FOR IT, AYE⬇️ 〰️45g oats 〰️200ml milk of choice- i used almond milk 〰️100ml water 🔹️15g vanilla protein powder from @gymbeamro (I used soy protein but whey is fine too) 🔹️1-5g of ginger powder (you choose how strong you want it to be. I used 3) 🔹️Sweetener of choice (honey, stevia, maple syrup etc) ◾150g greek yogurt Cook the oats with the milk and water on the stove until it gets thick then add in the rest of the ingredients beside yogurt, which you will add after the oatmeal cools down for 1-2 hours. This will make it creamy. 💚 You can also add any toppings of choice like almonds, seeds, coconut or fruits.

I missed Pilates this morning because of a really nasty cold and cough but I forced myself to go to weigh in because I know that I've had a tough week and expected a gain. This was a total surprise! It’s really getting cold here. The question is, how to make the raw food warm and comforting? And the answer is really simple. Just warm it up! The food will remain live if it is unprocessed and as long as its temperature doesn’t go above 40–49 °C (104–120 °F). So make sure it’s warm and not hot. You can warm smoothies, dips or soups, whatever you feel like. I made myself “Warm Fruit Cocoa” today and it was sooo good and comforting 😋. . . Recipe: In high speed blender blend 3 bananas, 3 cups of plant milk and 4 tbsp of raw cocoa powder. If you have the “soup” button on your blender, go ahead and use it to warm the cocoa drink up. If not, you can warm it traditionally in a pot, just make sure the temperature is nice and warm, not hot. Add chili 🌶 flakes if you like your meals to be spicy. Chili peppers have the power to keep you warmer for longer period of time. This amount is either for two people or for one as a lunch. I had it together with a bag of spinach leaves and I stayed full for about 4-5 hours. The consistency is rather thick but still straw-drinkable. Do you eat a lot of oatmeal because it’s a part of your meal plan? Do you ever get tired of eating oatmeal? Well, try this, grits! Grits can make a delicious addition to any meal plan. And it’s not just for breakfast because there are several recipes that you can use to make it a side dish or as a entrée. But you got to be careful because grits can easily become a unhealthy dish if you add too much of the bad stuff like salt, butter, and cheese. A little of that goes a long way. And it’s easy to make a bowl of grits for breakfast, here is the recipe; In a pot, pour in 1 cup of water at two or three pinches of salt. Bring the water to a boil and stir in 1/4 cup of grits. You’ll want to continue to stir the grits to avoid lumps. When the water comes back to a boil reduce to a simmer And slowly cook the grits for about five minutes. I like to add fresh ground black pepper and a half a teaspoon of butter. Continue to cook until the desired thickness and texture you like. I like my grits thick so I cook them longer. Then you just pour them in a bowl and eat. You can add things like some shredded cheese, or a over easy egg, or scrambled eggs. But remember that with everything you add will add fat and calories. Joining Wellness Mode was a great life changing experience for me. Thanks to Fiorela, Ely, and the team for the help and guidance. This journey would have been just another diet if it weren’t for their constant support. I began Wellness Mode because of my Diabetes. It had been out of control for many years and I was solely relying on the medications to keep me going. Those medications became too many and I was always tired and ill. Finally taking control of my health and what goes into my body felt great as the weeks passed. I’m officially off diabetic medication and feel great about it. Making better choices is what it’s about!!! Thanks for the push by my colleague and the Wellness Mode team for the mind changing experience. I finally have the necessary tools to continue to prosper in a healthier lifestyle!
I just finished the liver rescue 3:6:9 from @medicalmedium ! 🌱☺️ To be honest with you, I’ve been detoxing for a year now, I’m mostly raw all the time with barely any fats, so i thought that this cleanse was gonna be « finger in the nose » 😂 YES I was cocky!! WELL LET ME TELL YOU!!! It didn’t go as I expected it 😂 During this cleanse, you give your liver a lot of love by reducing your fat intake, so that it can do a better job at cleaning out all the gunk your body’s been accumulating. Day 1-3 you reduce your fat intake, and days 4-9 you don’t consume any overt fats at all. Meanwhile you need to get lots of liquids in you to flush all this out, such as lemon water, celery juice and hibiscus tea. You also need to eat large quantities of asparagus, Brussels sprouts, apples and dates. These powerful foods will support the liver during the cleanse and help dig toxins that have been siting there for years without even you knowing it. Well this cleanse kicked my ass. I experienced vertigo, dizziness and POTS symptoms (purple feet) upon standing, and I knew that I was eating a lot of calories so these symptoms couldn’t come from low glucose in the blood or from my weak adrenals suffering from a long fast. Today is the first day after the cleanse and I am feeling extremely tired, more than usual. I had pains in my gallbladder so I know my body is getting out tons of toxins and I’m making sure to hydrate with fruit juices. What I loved about this cleanse is that: ☀️it’s short. 9 days go by so quickly 🌿 ☀️You get to eat. Like, really. You won’t go to bed hungry and you have “real” large meals (so for those underweight chicks around here 🤘 this is a good thing) 🌿 ☀️Asparagus is my favorite veggie and it’s the co-star of this cleanse so yayyy 🤗 🌿 ☀️It tells you what to eat. It’s nice for 9 days to have all your meals planned for you! No overthinking about what’s for dinner 🤗 🌿 ☀️Since the meals are similar 3 days after the others, you can prepare big batches and just store in fridge- no need to cook everyday CONTINUED 👇
