The personal development work I have been doing lately has shown me that though I thought I was aiming for somethingI was NOT. Because my dream and my goals weren’t narrowed down I literally have been aiming at nothing in the short term. And in the present if I’m aiming for nothing I will hit it every time.
This is why I have been spinning my wheels for years! I’ve had big dreams and goals that I have been trying to shoot for for longer than I could remember. I thought I had a direction I was aiming for...spoiler alert...I really didn’t.
I had my someday dreams down pat. But I didn’t have them broken down to what I need to accomplish in the next five years to make that happen. And then what do I need to accomplish this year, and the next six months, this month, this week, today!
Big goals really need small and narrow focus to happen. I am one of the best dreamers there are, but that means nothing if I don’t have a plan to get there. Now I do! Is my plan perfect? Hell no! Will I change directions? Absolutely!
But now....EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I have a task I must accomplish that day. That task will help me accomplish my weekly goals, which will help me accomplish the monthly goals, which will get me to my yearly goals, which will get me to my five year which will FINALLY get me to my someday goals!
So break it down...dream that big, beautiful dream of yours, and then start working backwards on what needs to happen for you to accomplish it!
<<< SIDE NOTE: I decided last night I’m going to run a free 10 day group about this. Helping people break down their goals into small...and I mean small and attainable tasks each day. I will be building it today but if your interested drop me a comment below or send a DM! >>>
