iPhone app instead of the Apple Watch app because I wanted to listen to a podcast instead of music, and the GPS messed up and basically didn't track properly for the first 500m, leaving me with this apparently very slow 1km. Will be sticking with the watch app in future!

pizza so much. I made a big ole #pizza
with 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt/ 1 cup self-rising flour and didn't have to share with my fiance bc he wanted to make a frozen pizza for himself. Better for me, I get leftovers for lunch tomorrow! I had 5/8 of the pizza with some light ranch, came out to 685 calories 🍕♥️👌🏻

I honestly liked my Fitbit better. I liked that my Fitbit would track my 😴 sleeping habits and just seemed a lot more functional but hey that’s just me. I had my first workout at my gym this week and it was a little bit of a fail.
I did my usual 10 min warm-up fast walk on the treadmill and continued on to the stairmaster for only 10 minutes 😩 In my defense, my headphones died a few minutes into my time on the stairmaster and it was *quite* difficult to even get to 10. But I beat my personal record of 30 flights in 10 minutes from last time by 2 WHOLE FLIGHTS 😅
Also I featured this song in my stories because before my headphones decided to suck, I found that this song has a perfect beat for working out!
Exercise is so much more addictive then I had imagined!
I've never been the strongest self motivate or the most disiciplined.
has been exercising with me I've been able to push myself harder and be more proactive than I thought I could.
This coupled with our lifestyle change in food the lbs are practically falling off. 38lbs in 12 weeks I couldn't be happier.
There is more to come this is a marathon not a sprint for every drop sweated it will be replaced by 1000 more like it.

This was actually a fridge cleaning "pizza", I was just hoping it would be edible... lol. And it totally blew our socks off! Wow! Definitely need to replicate it sometime. :D
I had leftover stuff like: Flatbread, chili flavored canned tomatoes, feta cheese, blue cheese, light creme fraiche, scallions, red onion, and kale. (The kale was amazing on this!! Everyone try kale on pizza! :D)
I put creme fraiche on the flatbread first to try and create a moisture barrier. Then crushed tomatoes, then everything else + basil and pepper. I ate one of them, with lots of leftover melon, grapes and olives. (596 cal)
People think when you lose weight, you gain confidence that you never had. You'll feel more beautiful and better about yourself. But they dont mention that sometimes you get that feeling that you're still not good enough. You have that thought in your head "just a few more pounds and THEN you'll feel better". They dont talk about how you still see yourself as what you looked like before ypu lost weight some days. Weighloss isnt all fun and beauty and positivity. Cause you will still have those days. But in the end, I'm proud of myself and how far I've come.

My good friend Ryan Brown...we aren’t always looking for the biggest most shredded transformations. Getting to a healthy weight and eating better is still an amazing achievement. That being said Ryan was able to lose 13lbs from 185 to 172, he started watching his fast food intake, intermittent fasting, and completely quit soda, the funny thing is he didn’t even go to the gym. This is a good example of why your diet is the most important factor in losing weight.
In 2011, I was told: "Zahra it's too late for you to get back to your previous marriage weight now that you have these 4 kids ain't no way you'll have your body back! I was depressed, faking the smiles and deep inside I hated where my health was at 205 lbs it was not the place I imagined myself to be.
But...I had to find the soldier inside me despite the negative vibes that were surrounding me. I knew that I was born to inspire before I expire and I was DRIVEN by FAITH IN MY ALLAH! That I was going to put the sweat, tears, courage to rise up like the day!
So I began. Walked 10 miles in a day , sometimes 5 , sometimes 7, 250 squats at days, sure, those fat cells of mine were screaming we are messing with the wrong lady:)) but let me tell you who got me where I am in 2018. Who was my biggest motivator, My Allah, My Amazing God :'( <3 Where would Zahra be if He didn't give her the Tawfeeque to keep pushing forward? To pick herself up when people ridiculed? When she was drowning with depression of how soo unhealthy she was, but somewhere in her heart she still saw That God hasn't Forsaken her?
To all my beautiful sisters: don't you EVER FORGET that you are a masterpiece creation of God that you have it in you all it takes to crush it and DOMINATE whatever you put your mind to. Don't give me that crap I don't have a "will power" be A DRIVEN SOLDIER OF GOD!
