I never once in my life thought I’d see myself or my work in print or on rad companies websites. It’s weird, but also cool as shit and a whole lot of fun. It’s proven to me that I’m fully capable of stepping out of my comfort zones in more ways than one. I’ve not only been able to shoot for rad companies like @kuhl @cotopaxi @misfitwearables @fabletics
and a few others, but I’ve also had the honor of seeing my face (mostly my hair, tbh) on their websites, email blasts, social media and catalogs. Talk about surreal!
We can choose to be affected by the world or we can choose to affect the world
Something a little different. Tigers are so beautiful, I think they’re one of my favorite creatures.
There’s something about the magic of holidays that always makes me feel like a kid! Can’t wait to capture that same light this weekend! Stay tuned!
My first short film is coming out in the next few weeks, and I’m nervous. While I’m stoked that it will offer some valuable information about conservation and social media, I’m worried that countless folks won’t care about some of the issues I address in the piece. My film examines what tourism in Southern Africa looks like in the digital age, and I cover issues like lion cub petting, radio collars and how geotagging assists poachers. I have learned so much about about nonprofits, local politics, ecology, the role of field rangers and hunting, among other topics, and I remain positive about the impact this video will have. But still, it bums me out that I am essentially competing for airtime with people who brag about hiking illegal trails in Hawaii. Ah, social media...you’re the weirdest. But what if we really could use you for good...
That lady in the middle is the best human being I’ve ever known. She prays without ceasing. She hopes without disappointment. She believes in the best in every person. She encourages like an angel. And she fights like she’s got nothing to loose. She isn’t feeling great tonight. But I believe this prayer warrior isn’t done kneeling for her family just yet. Would y’all join my family in believing for strength and resolve and stamina and courage. God’s got her. God’s got this. God is good, He will always be good, and He will show just how good He is because Grandma Marian taught us all to believe just how true that is.

Swimming with these guys never gets old. Green Hawaiian sea turtles, or ‘Honu,’ weigh an average of 250 LB (some weigh up to 500 LB) and can live to be 80 years old. Plus, they’re majestic af.
I love colorful trees and the reflection they leave on the lake! 🍁 (pun intended) 🍂
Went to the beach for a day and a half, and it was great! But I’m glad to be back.. Can’t deal with all that sand hahaha!
The Pacific Ocean looks purple to me 😉
First time on the board this season.
He’s so much stronger this year. We definitely were celebrating the small things...like knowing how to stop 🙌🏼
It’s those little things that make days so memorable 😎 #GoPro
I agree with the Vikings. Great place to be!
There was so much water moving around this morning. I got caught inside and thrown around a few times. Definitely worth it though
Self-portraits like these are the reason that I lug a tripod up a mountain, why I stay up after everyone else has snuggled into their sleeping bags in their tent, why I keep trying for that awesome portrait when all I have is myself.
It always takes dozens of tries, especially since I lost my remote for my camera. Set up the composition, the settings, the focus, set the timer, run to the spot and hope you’re in the exact spot where you focused, wait, then run back and see if it’s worked. Most of the time something isn’t perfect and you gotta do it all again. Hoping it works out this time.
It’s incredibly frustrating sometimes but worth it for shots like these where I can proudly say I am the photographer and I am the subject.
Sometimes you just have to take yourself to the woods — and create something that makes you feel.✨

The views around here never get old. Fresh snow, awesome company and endless mountains. •

“When we adopt a dog or any pet, we know it is going to end with us having to say goodbye, but we still do it. And we do it for a very good reason: They bring so much joy and optimism and happiness. They attack every moment of every day with that attitude.” -W. Bruce Cameron
Feeling so much optimism today! Let’s attack every moment today with a positive attitude
Just two sisters hiking Angels Landing with a case of the giggles ⛰🤗
‘Tis the season for some Edgar Allen Poetry! “And the mist upon the hill
Shadowy, shadowy, yet unbroken,
Is a symbol and a token
How it hangs upon the trees,
A mystery of mysteries!”
