I love the softness and dewy effect of this photograph ❤️
“...and when the tension receded there was calm, the calm that is called before the storm, but is in reality the foundation of a human life, waiting there for us between the steps of our march to our mortality, when we are compelled to pause and not act but be.”

I photographed my nana and papa’s hometown this weekend. My papa has been living there since he was a boy, and gave us a tour of his favorite spots. He runs the Lee-Mar Ranch in town where he owns several horses. This one loves kisses. More to come this week!
Daddy’s the only one who is looking at the camera, but it’s the best we could do! 👪✡️💙

That big, beautiful desk was demolished today. It came with space, but was covered in layers of paint and faux finish. It took me a week to strip and refinish, last year when we were opening the Warkworth shop.
Never did I think I’d be turning my beloved little shop into a full working studio and multifunctional space, after only a year of being open.
The Picton shop opened in a matter of 4 weeks after the idea came about. It was a total whim decision, but it felt right... so I spent the summer seeing how things naturally played out.
Turns out I can’t do all the things, and be everywhere at once without burning myself out.
Everything seems to have been happening so fast since the launch of Sunday’s Company, yet I’m still practicing the art of patience by letting this baby unfold as it should, while holding on to a side gig for security’s sake.
I loved this space as a shop. It really was a special little spot where I was able to meet so many people from my community. My hope is that people will still feel welcome to pop in while I’m working here.
Details of exactly how this space will function will be posted soon... I just need to get back to cleaning the pile of wreckage from the floor. 📷: @taramcmullenphoto
