21.09.18 First time doing sumo deadlifts in a very long time. 105kg for 5. This is the best sumo has felt and best positioning has looked. Hips not shooting up and the bar is keeping close to the body, not swinging away every rep. Oh and not going super wide with the stance (which, unless you’re a power lifter, is unnecessary anyway). Looking forward to practicing these and seeing how far they can go in the next few weeks.
I have had an amazing summer off work with my little best friend but it's a new university year and term which means it is time for me to go back to work next week 😔
I have had so much fun being a pretend 'stay at home mother' and a part of me wishes I could be home with Effie forever..... But I need some normality and routine back in my life, and I need adult conversation. And I know she needs more time playing with her friends, learning and being independent.
Going back to work also means a change in my training and my training day splits. I will be going back to weight training 4 times a week instead of 5, 2 upper body days and 2 lower body days. Train how you love to train, train when you can and when you want to, and it will never be a chore 💗
