Why might you ask?? Well let me explain...
The more clear and specific you are on "why" you are pursuing the goal, the more realistic it becomes. When we associate strong feelings of why something is important to us, we fall back on those specifics for support when face setbacks.
🔸️Poorly executed "WHY": I will lose weight to get back at my ex-boyfriend and make him wish that he didn't let me go.
🔸️Clear and Specific "WHY": I will pursue a healthier weight as a form of selfcare and to build confidence. I deserve LOVE, HEALTH, and HAPPINESS. Committing to a healthier lifestyle is a step towards being my best self.
I believe that our "WHY" should be more about ourselves rather than others. But it's tough for me to express that concept 100% because my son is a big reason for me. My thought is more trying to stay away from pleasing others and more about improving your own mental and physical health.
Getting in shape to prove yourself worthy of someone else's love isn't going to bring much fulfillment. However, taking charge of your health to look and feel your best will bring about a confidence that helps you realize that you are worth more.
My son is my "WHY" because I desire to have the strength and energy to keep up with him. I know that when I take care of myself, that I'm a better mother for him. When I'm healthy and happy, I'm more patient and easygoing. I'm his main role model and I want to express the importance of selfcare to him..
You see my "WHY" is more about being the best version of myself out of #selflove
, but also because it benefits my son in so many ways.

Omg 😲 I’m so proud of myself!! .
I completed this program on schedule. I only had to to do 2 workouts in one day twice out of the whole 6 weeks. I even did the stretching workouts. .
I can’t believe how fast 6 weeks went by. .
I feel absolutely AMAZING, ACCOMPLISHED, and STRONGER.
This program hasn’t only changed me physically, but it has changed my mindset. .
I’ve done other programs in the past, but this one has really helped and changed me. .
It can change you too!! I was honestly sceptical of doing this program because of the amount of cardio and my asthma. Yes I was slower, I modified, and I had to pause at times. But that’s my journey and my story.... that’s not yours. .
It’s always scary to start a program, but once you do you’ll be amazed at yourself. .
You don’t know what you’re capable of until you try it.

Goal announcement: I, Emily J, am going to bike from Anchorage to Seward Alaska, 123 miles, on my 38 birthday, July 24, 2019. There I said it now I have to do it lol. .........
If someone had told me a year ago that my happy place would be the gym and that I would love biking and weight training I would have laughed in their face (not maliciously just in disbelief). Now here I am making a goal that I still don’t know if it is physically possible with my health challenges. As only a few of you know I am a cancer survivor and part of the treatment was to remove my entire quadracept, or vastus externus. I learned to walk again and have not successfully ridden a bike since then. In addition, I have type 2 diabetes (well and not to mention being pleasantly plump 😜). So this goal is both exciting and daunting. However, I know I can do this! I haven’t worked out the logistics of it all yet but I will keep everyone posted. I was going for smart/sexy.
Maybe I just look nerdy.
Either way, these blue blocking glasses are def helping with my sleep at night.
So is the CBD oil I’ve been taking at bedtime.
Sleep is something I have struggled with for a long time.
And from what I am hearing, you might be struggling too.
