Lumos: Do you ever feel guilty after being cranky?
I was so cranky after I had my snip snip, I was growling and being a cranky pants. I even got locked in the bathroom and I attacked the bath mat and tore it to pieces!
Then the next day, I felt guilty that I decided I better purr and look totally innocent. I'm sure I melted everyone's hearts.

Walking should be fun for both you and your pup…not painful and annoying due to excessive lead pulling. Teach your dog that walking by your side is fun and rewarding with these training steps:
STEP 1: Using a short lead, hold the lead properly to prevent injury to yourself while still controlling your dog. Start somewhere that is familiar to your dog so that they are not distracted (like your backyard). STEP 2: Put your dog on the preferred side that you would like them to walk on (I prefer for them to be on my left). Have lots of small treats ready to go in your pocket! Start with an upbeat command like ‘Let’s Go’ and start walking randomly around, walking 2-3 paces in one direction then turning.
STEP 3: If your dog begins to pull, and the leash becomes taut. Stop walking immediately and brace your feet in a stable position with one foot in front of the other. You could add a command in a low, confident tone here like ‘Steady’. Wait for your dog to calm down and stop pulling.
STEP 4: When the dog stops pulling and there is slack in the lead, verbally mark the good behaviour using a positive and upbeat tone and reward the dog with a treat.
STEP 5: Begin walking once again and continually mark and reward good behaviour every few paces. Your pup will learn how fun and tasty it is to walk next to you! Every time the dog pulls, immediately stop walking and wait for good behaviour.
STEP 6: When you think your pup is ready, bring your training to gradually more stimulating environments and less random walking patterns (i.e. walk in a straight line). Gradually reduce the amount of praise and rewards for good behaviour.
STEP 7: Show off your heckin good doggo!

Lumos: Do you like to think that you're classy?
I definitely do! So much so that I like drinking tea for cats. It has catnip, lemon grass and basil.
I'm so classy that I like drinking it out of tea cups. It also has to be poured from a tea pot!
But it has to be cold tea because I'm a classy kitty that way. All that was missing was my bow tie!

We have had great success leash training all our kitties on tight trails like this one! It keeps them focused on moving forwards instead of getting distracted in bigger areas. They all walked steadily at a quick pace with few stops when we go on the tight paths. Give it a try! Also lots of encouragement and treats help too. 🌲🇨🇦❄️🇨🇦🛶 - Talula🎀 #leashtraining
Major steps were taken for getting this pup “airport ready”. How would your dog react in stressful place like his? We could get him/her trained and ready to rumble for a situation like this. Give me a call today! :)
Someone’s done with all her necessary vaccination and can go on walks now! Doing her Number 1 business while walking has been a success, but Number 2 is something she still has to get used to.
Jack certainly has enthusiasm and energy about/towards ... everything 😂! He was more than happy to pull us around on his martingale collar. He wanted to RUN, got excited and ran / lunged toward cars driving by, would anchor himself at smells until he was ready to move on and can hop like a jumping bean.
There is very little self control in this boy’s repertoire so we have some work to do as we teach him to slow down, tune in and understand that there is a time for manners and a time to let loose.
I just want to share this to everyone. This is Bella, her mom is one of the first client I have back in July. I have to say, she is one of the most difficult dog that I have run into so far. She's stubborn, hyperactive, strong, and a pup! I did a couple of sessions with her mom but she was having such a hard time training her that she started to doubt my methods. She has a difficult dog, on top of that she has a son and she works. The video on the left is Bella back in July, when we barely started working on her. No rules, boundaries or limitation and her excitement was uncontrolable. Her dad on the video is using his knees to snap her out of fixation on the dogs going nuts on the other side of the fence; shes pulling stremely hard. The video on the right is 6 months after her owner is been working with her, no pulling, lots of eye contact, and her mom is leading the walk! We havent done a session in a while because she has been going through tough times but inpite of that, she continue to work with Bella; she didnt give up. I always tell my client to do exactly what I teach them and that training their dogs is most likely going to take longer than expected. My point here is no matter how diffucult your dog is, it is trainable if you put enough effort intead if just giving up. There will be results only if you put work! Have patience, be calm and confident! #dogtraining #pitbullsofinstagram #calmandassertive #cesarsway #masterthewalk #lovewhatido #leashtraining #dogrehabilitation #dogsofinstagram
Noxie: Why oh why, do humans have baths in the bathtub??
I've come to realise that Mummy is ok in the bathtub. But Daddy had a bath yesterday and I freaked out! I thought he needed rescuing! Then I spent the whole time staring at him to make sure he was safe! He said I was a little creepy though 😹

Are you, or anyone in your family, allergic to your cat? If yes, how do you manage that allergy?
Some of you may know, Daniel is allergic to our cats - something we did not know till he ended up in hospital 2 weeks after we adopted them. Funnily enough, we wasn't allergic to my old cat!
We manage his allergy by using a HEPA filter, vacuuming as regularly as possible (once a week), using facemasks, I clean all the kitty litter and bowls and our cats are not allowed in our bedroom. Most days Daniel feels fine, but definitely struggles when we go away as a family, especially as Lumos enjoys drooling all over Daniel when he sleeps! When Daniel finds that he is struggling to breathe, we take a break from the kitties and at times he will use medication.

Lumos: Do you sometimes think that you got away with something only to realise that you really didn't?
Yesterday I let go of some 💨 and it was silent. I was so relieved because everyone was near me and they didn't hear!
But then... Our air filter went into overdrive! And revealed that I had 💨 because I was the only one next to the air filter. It revealed everything!
I also finally managed to do a #meerkatmondayforboss
for our dear friend @boss_the_bengal.
We miss you little guy ♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
