Hawaii is the most isolated island chain in the world! I would think of this fact all the time when I was in Hawaii and think how surreal it was that I was in the middle of the pacific ocean (and the middle of a continental plate! Hawaii was mysteriously formed and I highly recommend learning about it! Super interesting!)
The Big Island has the most diverse climate of any island or land mass its size! From the coastal sandy beaches, to volcanic deserts, to rolling grassy hills, to the moon scape volcanos, to the snow capped mountains (mauna kea was below freezing!), to the tropical jungle you usually think of when someone says Hawaii. 11 of the 13 climate zones are found here. You can drive about 30 minutes anywhere around the island and be in a different climate. Wild!✨ #themoreyouknow #lovehawaii #lovenature #lovelearning #learnsomethingneweveryday #thetimeisnow
Instagram Tip of the Day: Request to Join Another User’s Live Video (or encourage followers to join yours)
Brands can use this feature when partnering with other businesses or influencers for announcements, Instagram takeovers, and the like. Or, encourage your followers to join a live Q&A you’re hosting.
Requesting to join a live video:
When watching a live video, tap Request in the comments section. You’ll see a confirmation when the user accepts and you’ll have a moment to prepare. Once you’re live, the screen will split in half. You can leave the live video at any time.
Accepting a request from a follower to join your live video:
When hosting your own live video, you’ll see a notification for each request in the comments section. Tap View and then choose to add the requestor or cancel the request. The icon with two smiley faces will have a red number showing how many requests you have. Tap the icon, and you’ll see both requests and current viewers. You can either accept a request or invite any viewer to join you. You can remove a guest and add someone else at any time.

Kickin' it #ontheblock
with some local hoodlums that offered me a beer while I was loading up on pre-dinner protein. Turned into an evening of intercultural suds. By the look of it these jolly fellas have been running this block here a while now... 😂😂😂 To be fair they did give me some pure gold #localstyle
game advice I wouldn't have minded having eight months ago. You #learnsomethingneweveryday

I rounded off the week with a day of CPD in the White Lady Cave, in the Nedd Fechan valley, South Wales.
The second picture is me doing my ‘Santa up a chimney’ impression 😉
Now it’s time for a relaxing weekend, then one more week until the Christmas break.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you get up to!
Day 108 - will i ever complete this before the year is out? maybe, maybe not. we'll see! #throwback

Next time someone is complaining, just tell them, ‘Get over it - life is not a pony stable!’ .
I kind of love this one....in English we’d say ‘life is not a fairy tale’, but there’s something about a pony stable that’s more ridiculous and specific that is way funnier. 🐴
Over the next 9 days we’re posting a short video every day on a fantastic, funny, perfect German word. 24 words in 24 days...
Men...don’t forget this....
Had an amazing time yesterday, discovering the @cityofottawa
‘s new purchased artworks with @gabrielle_fc.
It’s so inspiring to see places we pass by everyday become a topic of inspiration for talented local artists. I feel as though I now see my city with a fresher, #samebutdifferent
Being a stay-at-home mom is a tough job, yes I said JOB. Before I was a mother I used to dream about if I ever had a kid I love to be a stay-at-home mom and how easy it would be. Not realizing how hard it truly is on you mentally, physically, your self-esteem and social life. It's easy to lose sight of who you are as an individual because you have a little one strapped to your hip 24/7 and your social life with other ADULTS is basically nonexistent. Sometimes I find myself thinking I NEED to go back to work because I feel like I'm going nuts... but then I'm able to capture a moment like this and remind myself how fortunate I am to be able to stay home and teach her new, fun, exciting things in this world. Plus morning cuddles are the best with her! So when the day is over and I put her to bed and give her kisses goodnight, I realize she's growing fast and this is all only temporary. And when she doesn't need me 24/7 anymore I'm going to really miss these days. So for all you stay-at-home moms that feel like you're going nuts ...just take in every moment while you can because one day POOF your little girl or boy will no longer need you for every little thing. 😭💜
Yesterday was a 15km hill day with the recruits which took us to the crash site of a Vampire - one of the first jet powered aircraft in the UK. The crash happened on 9th October 1953 during a training exercise in low cloud cover. The wreckage has been laid out so that it resembles the original shape of the aircraft.
And if you're thinking about the forthcoming mince pie season, on this walk I burnt 1,582 calories which equates to six of our favourite all butter mince pies... What is your weak point when it comes to food at Christmas?
💥Be humble, be teachable and always keep learning.
The generally nocturnal octopus, comes alive at the #seattleaquarium
during feeding time. Despite his size he breezes through his tank to reach the crustaceans. Of course having arms with 200 suckers that can reach up to 20 feet, does make it a bit easier!
Look close and you might be able to see their paralyzing parrot-like beak. If you happen to be swimming in the #pudgetsound
keep an eye out for our giant friend in his natural habitat, but be careful they can change color at will, often indicating their mood and intentions toward their fellow swimmers.

Tanya is one of my favourite artists I teach. She creates evolving artworks with oil pastel which I realised I needed to photograph at each stage. Her work truly comes from her heart.
