Got my girl finished yesterday! My eleventh tattoo💉: 🧜🏾‍♀️ "The Enchanted Mermaid” / “The Four Elements, Part 1: Water." 🌊 Left rib cage. Outline: 12/01/18. Shading & Coloring: 01/26/19 & 03/02/19. This piece is dedicated to the Element of Water and is Part 1 of a future 4 piece project revolving around the 🌊🌱Four Elements🔥🌬. It is also the first of 2 mythological female goddesses in this Four Elements project. This majestic Water/Sea Goddess, in the form of a Mermaid🧜🏾‍♀️, can be seen on a rock in the middle of the ocean. 🌊⛰ This tattoo is an expression of my love for the sea and mystical creatures. It’s also dedicated to a particular surfing🏄🏻‍♂️ experience I had a while back. The waves were very angry and out of control. With all of these waves hitting me and a current pulling me, I ended up standing on a bed of coral and should’ve been hit on the head. A wave then hit me hard but instead of hitting the coral I just got washed up to shore and got scraped up real bad. It was honestly kind of a life and death experience. It felt as if a creature (like a mermaid) pulled me to safety. As always, I love planting symbolism in my body art. I even placed it on my side because that’s where I got scraped up the most. Loosely inspired by a portrait sculpture🗿 of mine that I made a while back. This is also the first tattoo of mine to not be on one of my limbs. Tattoo work and design credit: 🐏@haunrogue_tattoo ♈️. Thank you very much for this piece! She’s beautiful! 🐚🌺
