As the #100daychallenge
progresses, hell, as this year progresses, I realize that so many of my past failures have been not for lack of talent or time, but rather consistency. I find it easier to take risks than to keep at the simplest, most routine (and often, most vital) things. 〰️
But the important bits of life like relationships, work/life balance, self-care, and success feed on credibility, honesty, and consistency. It’s the last one that’s always tripped me up. I get bored. I get lazy. And I move on. 〰️
That is why this year, I made a promise to aim for consistency and thereby appreciate the simple, the routine, the vital. It’s been a challenge but I’ve written a lot of post-it notes like this one to myself, ranging from angry to encouraging to simply obvious in the hopes that I’ll just keep on keepin’ on. It’s been oddly helpful. How have your resolutions fared thus far? How do you stay consistent? Are you a post-it fan, too?
