The Jimmy Trims 2018 #stanlee
advent calendar is back for another entry! This year your favourite cult barbershop chain has been using Stan Lee creations to check off each day in December as we see Christmas and 2019 in!
This week the focus is on his more villainous creations and that vein with day twelve's entry.
On the 12th day of Christmas, Stan Lee gave to us, #wilsonfisk
, the #kingpin
of Marvel crime.... The character was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man#50
(cover-dated July 1967). The character is portrayed as one of the most feared and powerful crime bosses in the Marvel Universe, typically holding the position of New York City's crime overlord. Initially an adversary of Spider-Man, the character later became the arch-enemy of Daredevil, and a recurring foe of the Punisher. IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains Of All Time List ranked the Kingpin as number 10.
The Kingpin's signature look is his extraordinarily heavyset appearance, with most of his mass consisting of muscle. He usually wears a white suit jacket and carries a cane, which he tips with diamonds or other hard substances as necessary to aid in physical combat. The name "Kingpin" is a reference to the title of crimelord in Mafia slang nomenclature.
Wilson Fisk has been portrayed in animation, film, and television by John Rhys-Davies, Michael Clarke Duncan, Vincent D'Onofrio, Roscoe Lee Browne, and Liev Schreiber
