Adidas D Rose Dominate II
Aesthetics - Just being honest..you probably won't get anyone in the gym complimenting these joints. They look budget shoe-like, and like a budget version of the D Rose 5s, which I would say aren't the best looking D Roses. Think there's just two colorways as well.
Traction - Same traction pattern as D Rose 773 III. This is a very average setup. We got some good consistency which is good. The stops aren't really ever crisp. If the courts aren't finished and dirty/dusty, I found some instances of complete slippage.
Lockdown - Things are good here, mostly achieved through the impeccable fit. Like a lot of these other budget models, the heel isn't sculpted and there isn't much of a counter, so the feeling back in the heel isn't super clean.
Midsole - Adiprene setup. Fairly thin and low to the ground, without much for energy return, or impact protection.
Fit/Comfort - Actually one of the shoes I love playing in, in terms of how comfortable they are. The sides at the top are like massive collars that almost wrap around the tongue when fully laced, and this feels great kind of like the D Rose 5s, and the 773 IIIs. The fit is like D Rose 5 as well, the point in the signature line where Adidas seems to have chosen to make everything half size bigger. So half size down if we're using Nike sizing as TTS.
Mobility - no major loss in mobility with its fairly high top design. The upper materials are thin and flexible. Great court feel for a high top.
Support - Again, these feel fantastic in terms of ankle security, just like the D Rose 5s, and 773 IIIs. These weigh in at just middle of the pack, and aren't bulky on foot, but wide enough for great support.
