💡 When you move overhead with your arms, there are a lot of different muscles in your shoulders and scapula that work together to complete that motion. If you want a quick anatomy refresher then check out the next paragraph after the listed exercises haha.
✔ Here are three great exercises to help rehab overhead motion and work all off those muscles. This can also work as a great sequence for a warm-up.
1.) Y's to W's with weighted paltes
2.) PVC shoulder flexion
3.) End-range shoulder lift-offs on dumbbells
✔ The motion overhead requires a lot of different muscles working together. First, we have the rotator cuffs that contract to help stabilize your humerus. Then there are the serratus anterior, rhomboids and trapezius fibers that attach to the scapula which help assist in that upward motion. Finally, we also have got biceps and anterior deltoids which assist in shoulder flexion. There is also t-spine extension that occurs which is usually coupled with overhead motions as well.

Maggie learning to swing the kettlebell in a more efficient manner. Instead of traditional swings with both arms we’re teaching her how to incorporate thoracic rotation into the swing by using one arm to swing and the other arm to reciprocate thus enhancing rotation and turning a kettlebell swing into a pretty awesome core exercise too 😎
She did an awesome job considering this is her first time with this kettlebell variation! Spine is neutral as she rotates her trunk which tells us that she’s rotating from her Ribcage and not her lower back which is key to prevent injury. Glutes are propelling the movement but we need to get the adductors to engage more to keep the knees from flaring out but all in good time 🤗 .

5x Single arm swing
1x Turkish get down and up
1x push press
Check my story for the second half: all swings and Turkish get ups! I warmed-up with the above to swing 32kilos and TGU 24kilos, over and over and over again. It’s my favorite training session of the week!

The kettlebell swing has been a staple in our programming for years. Once you master the swing you can progress that to kettlebell cleans and snatches. Here is Coach Fletch demonstrating, make sure you come down to a full hip hinge (as in the first still frame) then explosively stand tall with your hips extended (as in the second still). •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Stand, return other bell to the rack & repeat other side
👉🏼 Throw in a few swings between rounds if your arms need a break 🤨

YESSS, heute konnte ich endlich meine #bluetoothkopfhörer
von der Post holen. Ich hab mir welche bestellt um - falls notwendig - in Ruhe trainieren zu können. Meistens schwirren doch meine süßen, kleinen Lieblinge um mich herum. Mit den Kopfhörern kann ich mich besser drauf konzentrieren und auch die Ladies lassen sich von ihrem Spiel nicht so leicht abbringen. Musste es heute gleich ausprobieren und bin voll begeistert. Es macht echt Spaß.
Wer trainiert noch mit so Kopfhörern?
Ich hatte wieder richtig viel Energie 💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻und somit ein echt gutes und erfolgreiches Training. Heute habe ich mal Bilder von August und September verglichen. Ziemlich genau ein Monat. Ich bin soooo überrascht von dem Vortschritt. Es motiviert unheimlich und ab sofort versuche ich jeden Monat so ein Vergleichsbild zu machen. Motivation zum Weitermachen, nicht aufzugeben, immer das Ziel vor Augen 😍

Hump Day ain't a day in our week!
It is unbelievable how incredible my left hip feels now compared to even 2 months ago. It would be tight from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep. My left hip is where all the pain would rush to, however I experienced extreme amounts of tightness in my hamstrings and IT bands. The roller would temporarily alleviate some of the discomfort but within an hour I would be right back to where I started. This had low key been going on for probably the last 4 years, which was not fun. So now I have to maintain this quality of life. -
The exercises and rehab I have been doing for the last 2 years has finally all come together. I believe I have some great strategies and routines paving solid paths for me. Playing pain free golf is a true blessing.
