Headed into the weekend with a llama mug full of bone broth. 🦙 . I’m back on the Bone Broth Diet. Why? My body was inflamed from all the holiday sugar eating and drinking. I was ready for my energy to even out. And, it is a good kick in the pants to make me pay attention to what I am eating, and to slow down and chew my food more thoroughly. . . I’ve tried a lot of diets/cleanses and this one is my current favorite. It’s basically Whole 30 with fasting, so no sugar, grains, alcohol, processed food, etc. You get to eat fruit 🍓 and sweet potatoes 🍠 , yay. Fasting a full day pushes you into ketosis fast. The only thing I’m skipping this time is fasting 2x a week; once a week is enough. . . But after even just five days in, my energy feels so much better, I am eating way more vegetables🥦, and I am hopeful my skin soon will exhibit a bone broth glow. Also, I kinda missed drinking bone broth all the time. . . What else do you want to know about the Bone Broth Diet? Lunch was ghee fried chicken marinated in mustard sauce. And the dinner was super comforting and delicious chicken soup 🍲😍 —— I don’t feel hungry most of the times and it’s mainly because of Intermittent fasting. I was not able to finish the whole chicken too.!! My cravings have reduced so much (touchwood).! I think if you feed you body less (frequency of eating) , it will crave less.!! This was me just a few days ago - I felt really off and out of sorts, and wondering if Keto was the right thing for me if it was making me feel that way. I'm fine now 😊. I helped it along by having a bit of bread and peanut butter for breakfast, making sure I ate regularly and making sure I bought a good vitamin supplement (go the B vitamins!). Today I'm feeling better than I have felt in ages, I'm my usual amount of tired (hey I work nearly full time and have kids too lol) but overall I have more energy, my appetite has regulated and I'm thinking way more clearly too. A super-duper common problem I hear from my online clients and other random folks from the interwebz is not having the time or desire to cook healthy meals. Follow @women.weight.loss ⠀ I’m not a fan of cooking either... ⠀ And that’s why I love using this meal template to whip up quick, easy, healthy, and filling fat loss meals. ⠀ Weight loss comes down to creating a calorie deficit ⚖️⬇️ ⠀ Your diet could consist entirely of chocolate cupcakes & Mountain Dew, and you’d still lose weight as long as you take in few enough calories. ⠀ But just because you can lose fat eating junk, it doesn't mean you should. There are other pieces to this "diet puzzle" — things like food quality, macronutrient ratios, micronutrient density, fiber content, satiety, and enjoyment — that play a crucial role in creating a successful & sustainable nutrition plan. ⠀ I'm all for having flexibility with food. 🍫🍷 ☯️🍎🥗 ⠀ But I also value simplicity, which is why I’ll use this simple template 80-90% of the time. The only things I'll change are the specific carbs, protein, & veggies to fit what I’m in the mood for or have available. ⠀ Some examples: 💥 —> Lean Steak, Rice, Asparagus 💥 —> Chicken, Potatoes, Mixed Veggies 💥 —> Salmon, Quinoa, Steamed Broccoli 💥 —> Eggs, Red Potatoes, Onions & Peppers ⠀ When I use this template, I know without a doubt I'm getting plenty of protein, fiber, and micronutrients — all of which keep my tummy-tum full, and my body healthy ‘n’ happy 😁👍 ⠀ Side Note📝: you’ll notice I don’t include fat sources directly. Reason being, most folks end up getting plenty of fat from their protein sources, oils, sauces, etc. ⠀ You can add some high-fat foods (nuts, whole eggs, avocado) to the mix of you want... Just make sure you’re watching portions because the calories in those suckers can add up quick! ⠀ My challenge to YOU ✅: start using this template in your daily nutrition plan. Trying out @realgoodfoods chicken enchiladas. I added more cheese because cheese is amazing. But you actually don’t need to add more. I think I put too much cheese! But it taste actually good and surprised since it’s one of those microwave food. I got other flavors and can’t wait to try it.

Keto Eggplant Lasagna 🍆 - Do Keto With a Plan , Do Keto RIGHT (Link in the bio 👆) - INGREDIENTS 2 medium eggplants, about 6" to 8" long kosher salt 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 yellow onion 2 tsp. oregano Freshly ground black pepper 1 25-oz. jar marinara 16 oz. whole milk ricotta 1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan 1 large egg 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish 4 c. shredded mozzarella DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 400°. Cut ends of eggplants and slice thinly, about 1/4” thick. Lay slices on a cooling rack and season with salt. Let sit for 20 minutes. Flip, season again, and let sit for another 20 minutes. Pat dry with paper towels. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Sauté garlic for 1 minute, then add onions and oregano. Season with salt and pepper and cook until onions are translucent. Add marinara and cook until warmed through. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, egg and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. In a 9"-x-13" casserole dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce, a single layer of eggplant “noodles", a layer of ricotta mixture, then a layer of mozzarella; repeat layers. Top last layer of eggplant with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. I haven’t talked about this much on this page but a year ago today would have been my due date with my fourth pregnancy/miscarriage. The picture on the left is the day I found out our baby had passed away due to hydrops and I had to carry that baby Father’s Day weekend before my scheduled induction on Monday. It was absolutely awful and the grief almost completely consumed me after that loss. I was at my highest weight but that isn’t even the point, this is probably me at my worst physical and mental state ever. The picture on the right, is me today. I’m officially down 60lbs and feeling more clarity and motivation not only in my health but my overall life. Keto has not only helped me drop the weight but it has helped with my anxiety and has helped me be a better wife and mother to my adopted niece and miracle rainbow baby.

Keto Garlic Butter Meatballs --- ❤ . Follow @challengegoods for more keto recipes! . 👌😋😏 INGREDIENTS (4 SERVINGS) 1 lb. ground chicken 5 garlic cloves, minced and divided 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. grated Parmesan, plus more for garnish 2 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil 4 tbsp. butter Juice of 1/2 a lemon 1 lb. zoodles --- DIRECTIONS 1. In a large bowl mix together ground chicken, 2 garlic cloves, egg, parmesan, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper then form into tablespoon sized meatballs.  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil and cook meatballs until golden on all sides and cooked through, 10 minutes. Transfer to a plate and wipe out skillet with a paper towel.  3. Melt butter in skillet then add remaining 3 garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add zoodles to skillet and toss in garlic butter then squeeze in lemon juice. 4. Add meatballs back and heat just until warmed through.
