The cargo hold is complete on my UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon. This was a particularly exciting room for me to design because I didn't have much reference material. It was left to my imagination. I'll put out a bird's eye view in the next update. What do you think of the final wall?
Day 335: A parsec was a unit of distance equal to 3.26 light years. The system used by starship navigators throughout the galaxy to record the location of star systems was based on parsecs, with one unit on the coordinate scale corresponding to 15 parsecs. #starwars #daysuntilepisodeix #parsec #kesselrun #daystoepisodeix
UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon update 38. So I flipped the Falcon over to work on the top side and forgot I had to add detailing to the maintenance port on the ventral side. I enjoy doing small detail work because it really adds that "special touch" to a model. What do you think?
Cargo hold phase three is complete on my UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon. I incorporated a little color on this wall and some wheel valves to control pressure. The elbow macaroni pieces made for some nice piping. One more wall to go and the Falcon's interior will be finished! What do you think of this wall?
UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon update 36. Two walls are complete in the cargo hold. I've incorporated technic connectors and bars to give the look of pipes and tubes. I'll add some more boxes when I finish the remaining walls. What do you think?
to celebrating the completion of my first half marathon, during the Rebel Challenge @disneyland
I was untrained due to a knee injury, but set out to start the race (I had already paid for it - right!)
Starting it turned in to a battle of wills, grit, and determination. It very much became a mental game. I said “self, you have birthed two children. Your body can handle this” and “by damn, I WILL get the #kesselrun
I had already signed up for the Dark Side Challenge and had to complete this half first. 👊🏼
This race wasn’t pretty (and many times wasn’t fun) but I learned so much.
Looking forward to this year’s @rundisney
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend - which side will you choose?
I finally got around to watching the Solo movie- and I have some thoughts! Firstly, Alden is absolutely Han Solo. It’s all about the little quirks- eye twitches, body movements, a few classic Solo expressions. Alden does these to perfection.
Next up, Donald Glover is 100% Lando. No complaints. I bought him as Lando as soon as I heard his voice and he only convinced me further as it went on.
Thirdly, my favourite scenes were the Kessel Run and what I have come to dub “The Twists Room” scene. Kessel Run takes the top spot for the multiple music cues that nod to the classic Falcon chase scenes, the dogfight, and just how amazing it looked.
At first, the movie’s opening arc- from the beginning to them arriving on Kessel -seems to flow like comic book issues. Each scene could’ve been one issue. Different style, but I really liked it. Problem with that was that by the end of the first heist I thought the movie was over- when there was still so much left to go!
Overall, I give this a solid 8/10- which is where I scored Revenge of the Sith, though Solo is better in my opinion.
Give it a watch! It’s a fantastic blending of several types of films, and I could watch a whole other movie about our stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking nerf herder!

This next round of slides on my UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon covers my redesign of the thruster panels, more work on the ventral side and the beginnings of work on the cargo hold. This takes us to where I am at today in my design. Thanks again for the great feedback and support!
The third slide slide show of my UCS Kessel Run Millennium Falcon shows the final design of the cape room and the beginning of the design on the ventral side exterior. At this point the exterior begins to really look like Lando's. Thanks again for all of support and feedback!
The second slide show of my UCS Kessel Run Millennium Flacon moc. This group of slides covers the first exterior design, the addition of the mandibles, and the initial design of the cape room. Thanks again to everyone who had supported this project and provided feedback. Enjoy!
‘You haven’t heard of the Millennium Falcon that made the Kessel Run is less than twelve parsecs?!’
