Don’t forget I have 3 prints available in my Etsy shop! They look even better in person. They are 5x7, and come with a free sticker too! Every purchase helps me out a lot ^^ LINK IN BIO
I know I’ve only been reuploading older images for a while, but I promise that’s about to change. ✨ Before it does, though, I couldn’t pass up sharing my favorite ring shot!
The pose didn’t turn out as well as I wanted but it’s okay. I think it turned out cute ^^ I just love pastel colours so much aha. Sorry for the lack of art lately. I haven’t been drawing anything I’ve felt was good enough to post.
Putting the finishing touches on my Valentine’s gift for Mark. It’s from a photo I took out the window of our Airbnb apartment last year on our 10 year anniversary trip. If you’ve been to Paris you might recognize that bridge - 7 years ago we left our own lock on that bridge (though due to popularity and weight of the locks it has been since removed). It felt like the perfect gift for my sweetie.
Experienced artists will say that to get better you have to paint - a lot. Confession - this gives me anxiety. I don’t have many precious painting opportunities - laundry, diaper changes and rare sleep takes precedent. So when I do get a couple of hours I put a lot of pressure on myself. At first it’s overwhelming and my brush strokes are tight and conservative and I forget some of the techniques and color mixes I like and I start to feel insecure. I often dislike or hate what I’ve done and consider trashing it. I feel disappointed that I had a couple of hours and wasted it. But then I decide “oh well, might as well have fun with it if I’m going to throw it out anyway” and eventually I relax and I get in a zone. I even knocked over my supply tackle box - dumped it all out all over the place - and I couldn’t be bothered to clean it up. I didn’t want to stop the flow I was in. Like I can see something salvageable coming together and if I stop now I’ll lose it. Pursuing something you love and being a wife and mother of 3 is sooo hard. Thankful that my husband supports and encourages me and my wonderful in-laws give me some “me time” to get my brushes dirty, even if laundry or tidying the house comes first.

I wish the process was as easy as it looks 👀
If you missed this race, you need to watch it! The most impressive part? Javier Castellano’s pants are still white and City Of Light is clean (it was a rainy and muddy race!) It gave me chills to watch.
Finished painting to be revealed! 💗
