Little did I know what would unfold in the next 10 years when I first sat down to watch this show. It inspired me - but I didn’t think for one moment that I’d actually get to where I am now. Didn’t think I’d run a fan page, didn’t think I’d be trying my hand at the film and TV industry, or that I’d meet the cast that inspired me - let alone work with a few of them. But here I am, and here we are after 10 years.
Through this show I’ve met some of my best friends: (too many to tag but notable mentions - @kristina08g / @destiny.and.chicken and @mergana who have been here since the start). I’ve had loads of fab opportunities like going to cons, meeting the cast and talking to all of the wonderful fans and being part of this magical fandom. The icing on the cake for me has to be the fact I had the chance to work on @eoincmacken new film #HereAreTheYoungMen - achieving a dream I’ve had (working with those who have inspired me) at only 22. I am so grateful - and a big shout out to Eoin - you rock dude!

Well I never thought a show would change my life, but it’s safe to say this one has. It has inspired me, challenged me and helped me to grow. I’ve done things I never thought I would, travelled to cons, met some fantastic friends, had unforgettable experiences - maybe even started forging a career - all out of inspiration and a love for a show. Sounds crazy but then again so is the past 10 years. My next few posts will be general thanks (and probably the same old speil just with different words!) But this is to the cast, the crew and to every single person (including the fans) who have made this show and it’s legacy what it is.
