It’s proven that if you reward yourself when you hit different levels of progress that you’ll keep going because you’re EXCITED for the prize AND what ever it might be that you’re working toward.
Remember though, you aren’t a dog doing tricks so don’t make food a reward 😉

While my transformation might have been two years ago, you never stop growing, physically and mentally. Life is always changing, no matter what you try to do you cannot slow this process down.
So embrace it, grow from it, learn from it, use your time wisely. Remember to always invest in yourself!

Terrier, Shepherd, or whatever breed you have just get out there and play! I am astounded how many pet owners don't proactively play with their dogs. Dogs that are disinterested in toys tell me the humans don't control the toys, and most likely their dogs too. While every dog has a different drive you should be using that drive to your advantage. Your dogs don't care about your stressful work day, they just want to play. Tip: purchase a brand new toy you know your dog will love, crate your dog for a bit before play time, let your dog out on a long leash, spend 10 minutes acting a complete goof ball, when your dog gets interested present the toy and praise the heck out of them for engaging, keep the toy in your possession most of the time tugging back & forth, don't make this a game of fetch (just yet), let the dog "steal" the toy or "win" tugging every so often, just enough to encourage more play but not enough to discourage breaking engagement with you. I mainly lift, (but still new n learning) but also play sports n may sacrifice a day of lifting if I wanna have a good match of tennis with my parents bc that’s what I enjoy !! sure, may hinder my progress in lifting v slightly but overall my health n happiness will b much more 🤪😇
spin, lifting, mainly cardio, bodweight, sports, callisthenics, functional moves, strength, HIIT, climbing, cycling, running, hiking ... there are SO many things u can do to stay active - it doesn’t matter what u do, as long as u do it !!
