SELF CARE  I've been in some horrible dark places mentally. Riddled with anxiety and heavy with depression. I have children now, I can't afford to dip back there, so Self care is high on my agenda.
I eat a plant based diet, eating animals for me is a big no, no. Not only is it barbaric and carries negative energy but the animals are pumped with antibiotics and hormone disrupters. That isn't going inside me. Within weeks of going plant based my mood and general well being vastly improved.
I'm a student of #Yoga
, if you've followed me for a while you'll know I've been practicing Asana, Meditation (all 8 limbs of yoga) for around 15 years. I'm not a fully functioning human without time on my yoga mat. From relieving body aches to creating clarity in my mind. I also study #Ayurveda
which supports my Yoga practice. Both of these disciplines are from India, those guys really know their stuff.
I don't drink alcohol. Neurotoxin. The End.
Self care is as much about eliminating as it is about taking stuff in. I protect my state of mind by avoiding the news, media and bullshit soap operas that normalise toxic bahaviours.
All of that above makes me sound like I've got my shit together and you know what, some days I have! But some days I feel like a comedy clown juggling while running and when those feelings arise, I know it's time to look after my Self.
I'm not perfect but I'm always doing the most I can to be the best version of myself for everyone around me.
