With a 69 inch waist and 75 inch hips! to a now 56 inch waist and 62 inch hips💦 By cleaning up my diet, working out from home and of course using my @sweetsweat trimmer has helped shed these inches off my waist! It not only helps me sweat more but helps reduce this stubborn belly fat! anyone who has been on this journey with me from the beginning knows I’ve been wearing my waist trimmer for every workout. I’ve tried many and nothing will ever be as effective as my sweet sweat trimmer! I love the fact that it’s so stretchy and how it even accommodate sizes up to 60 inch waists🙌🏽 the biggest secret will always be, staying CONSISTENT. Have a clear cut idea on where you want to go! And then make it happen! . Even though I was very limited at my size when I started out exercising, I still gave it my all. There were moments where I felt like I saw no changes when I looked in the mirror. There were times where I felt like can I even do this? Will I ever be strong, disciplined and healthy? WILL I GET THROUGH THIS? yes, YES I WILL💪🏽 Ask yourself this, what would you attempt to do if you knew you couldn’t fail? Now believe that success is your only option! I got this far which means I am capable of going even further!! Changes are being made! There may be times you don't see it yet but just keep going! When I put all the vanity reasons to the side for a moment, and really look at my fitness journey ... I see that the QUALITY of my life is better! :) that smile is beaming boy😁 . when you stop looking at it as ugh, a dreaded diet & start looking at this more as a lifestyle change then you’ll see just how much your outlook changes! I mention all the time I do not look that deep into numbers. Yes numbers are also important but it’s no obsession of mine. I have no goal weight. The goal is to be happy. The goal is to be FIT AF. To have stamina through the roof. To have a surplus amount of energy! To be pain free. Free of ailments. To move like how our bodies were made to do! Now THIS HERE is why I initially started my #Minutemondaychallenge 3 months ago! It was to help keep track of my progress of not only my strength increase but also see the physical changes as well as how much my rep count increases! This way I’m able to see and compare exactly where I came from! . Top video was August 14th (scroll through my old posts) and my recent video at the bottom (October 17) two months apart and I’m so proud of the progress that has been made in such a short amount of time. I edited the bottom video with the reps to count for each time my legs were up to compare it the same as the top video. Even though the moves are not the exact same, it’s similar enough to compare the two! Can we spot the differences?👀 well for one I’m a lot quieter now😅 when I first tried this move in the top video, my stomach was in the way and making it difficult to execute the move properly. Compared to now, my stomach is a lot smaller👀 and I’m able to do this move a lot easier now. And my chubby thighs are less chubbier😌😌 . Never mind the scale, it’s victories like THESE where I’m ecstatic to see all my hard work is paying off! I love myself right now which is why I’m bettering myself. This just makes me want to give more, to do more and to go harder! But to also know when to rest, stay positive and take each day as it comes as well! To those who tell me they’re too ashamed to take pictures/videos to post online, that’s totally understandable. You don’t have to, but please take them and save them to use as progress photos! You’ll be so proud of yourself looking back and seeing just how far you came!😌👍🏽👍🏽 take all the photos, and videos you want and post them if and when you’re ready!❤️✨we can do this, so don’t give up! Alternate shoulder presses 4 presses per shoulder = 1 rep💀 x 8 sets Jump squats w/ dumbbell 8 reps x 3 sets Jumping jacks w/ dumbbell 12 reps x 2 Barbell shoulder press 6 reps x 3 sets Shoulder press into bicep curls 6 reps each x 2 sets Single dumbbell shoulder press 15 reps x 2 sets . Pretty much my shoulders were 🔥🔥🔥 *To modify the jumps, go into a squat instead of jumping! Move slow and deliberate to perfect your form! If you’re a beginner you do not need any weights! Use your body weight and get your form down :) Btw, this video is sped up to fit everything and in no way am I moving this fast😁 . Really challenged myself by incorporating 30lb dumbbells in my 20 minute HIIT workout! Some may say I should stick to just cardio and THEN incorporate weight training afterwards but i completely disagree! My body has changed so drastically from where I first started that I know doing strictly cardio could have never accomplished! Understand that your goals and my goals are two entirely different things. You might be aiming strictly for weight loss right now and that’s cool too but I want so much more out of this!  When I started lifting weights I started with 10lb dumbbells! And they were not easy for me. But I worked my way up diligently. Sure it wasn’t always easy. But your PERSPECTIVE of it is what makes it a heck of a lot easier! No matter how many times you feel like you’ve screwed up you can always decide to keep going. Let go of all fears and self sabotaging already and just go for it! And if you mess up again, so what try AGAIN. This journey is definitely something worth staying on! Take your time, listen to your body and have fun with it. And if it gets too hard, lighten the load if you have to! Put a weight down, shoot put down both weights😅 and just march in place if you have to. But don’t give up! 🎶We’ll all get there eventually🙏🏽🎶 . Finally made time to get to the post office for my goodies🙌🏽!! No jitters, or trouble sleeping at night! I look around me and I always had to work twice as hard as everybody else. But it is what it is! Eff excuses✌🏽Eat right and work your ass off. Find that mental focus and apply it in every area of your life! . . Do you know how difficult it is to unlearn and then relearn everything!? I was an extreme binge eater. I was an emotional eater. I was addicted to fast food. I ate at obscene hours of the night. I never had vegetables on my plate. I never drank water. There was no such thing as restrictions to me. To then be able to relearn how to eat better, eat smaller proportions on my own, know when to stop on my own, and avoid crap foods on my own, and no longer rely on food as a drug is NOT EASY. No gym membership, no trainer, no coach. Someone who ate like crap for years, who struggled for YEARS and who’s finally getting it right NOW is a blessing. This is what mental toughness and mental clarity looks like. If you don’t get your mind right, you will never make it. Late is better then never. I just wanna make it crystal CLEAR to those who are struggling right now, to WAKE UP. You already know better, now it’s time to do better. You do not need ANYTHING but YOURSELF to start and finish this weight loss journey! I know you’re struggling and I know it’s hard. I KNOW. Lord knows my heart was in it!! But my body refused to cooperate!!😭😭👑👑 I ended up doing TWO challenges yesterday since I completely missed last Monday! And for the record, when I’m doing jumping jacks, my knees, back, ankles, joints, etc. does not hurt whatsoever! My thighs are just soreee. And sometimes I wanna cry. LOL. But my mind is much stronger than my body is at this point and as bad as I wanted to keep going, I physically CANNOT. 29 1/2 jumping jacks in one minute completed! . Btw, If you feel any type of pain or discomfort doing jumping jacks, modify it! And keep your feet on the ground! Everybody is working on themselves at their own pace. 60lbs ago I didn’t dare do a jumping jack because I know I would’ve most likely injured myself! Everything in due time! . And like I’ve said countless times before, I absolutely hate showing when I’m not my best. I didn’t want to post this because I hate to showcase my struggles! I always would instead like to show myself at my best! Alas, welcome to social media! Where everyone never has a bad day! Everyone shows their best parts! Everyone shows their best face, their best photos, best angles, best moments, their most prized possessions and greatest accomplishments! But if I followed through like everybody else, then I realized I’d be just. like. everybody. else. I can’t allow that. Then I wouldn’t be real. I HAVE to post these because someone somewhere is struggling too. They probably think they’re not even good enough And have lost a sense of hope. If someone looking at me, in the same boat as them can potentially make them feel like they can do it,, then I’m down! Who else is hoppin on this struggle bus?🎟 I’m ready for the downfalls galore. This journey is not easy. I struggle a lot. But when I come back I ALWAYS come back stronger then I was before! FACT. I had to officially take a break from the weights all this week and some from last week. As y’all know how I fell last week. I didn’t hurt myself too bad but I came down a bit on my finger and its now swollen😩 Can’t grip a dumbbell. (It’s getting better tho!) By the way, ya so mean, there’s over 1,200 saves on the video where I bussed my ass, y’all ain’t right😂 who saved ittt😭😭😂 . . I told @thereal_bjpatterson_judah I was now stuck doing cardio all week and how much it was going to suck without my weights😩 and he told me to use ankle weights around my wrists to still get arm and shoulder work done🙌🏽 So I went and actually got 2 sets to throw in for some leg work too! . Needless to say, the ankle weights kicked my ass and was super brutal because I had extra weight added on every limb. I not only completed weight training but incorporated HIIT moves because who says it’s impossible to die twice?💀 I seriously appreciate people like BJ who rather than just listen to me moan & complain and vent like a baby, will instead offer solutions to the problems🙏🏽 TY . If you want to start using ankle weights, start with light weights (3-5lbs) and work your way up! (BTW you do not need any weights at all to do this. No it shouldn’t be we HAVE to work out, no we GET to work out 💪🏽 huge difference. When you turn your negative thinking into positive, suddenly it’s not that bad after all. The fact we woke up today and are able to move our bodies, is a blessing in itself. . Far from done. Always evolving and improving! Someone asked me in my last post if I ever feel like giving up. And I said how much of a strong statement to say I give up is. Take a break? Maybe. But never give up. To be able to even taste success, we’re gonna always be faced with some kind of temporary defeat. I say instead, take a break. Slow down. Collect your thoughts, reassess your goals and your life, but never give up! then get back in the game! It’s tough now, but keep going and you will eventually see your breakthrough! Long before anyone believed in me. I believed in me. You can be your own biggest supporter or your own worst enemy. Quit sabotaging yourself. You already have everything inside of you to win.
