“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”
Words to live by. Jane Austen knows me too well.

Well Caroline, aren't you a fickle sort 😂📚✨

Olá, leitores! Como estão?
Um ótimo domingo a todos! ☺️
❝After a silence of several minutes, he came towards her in a agitated manner, and thus began: “In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”❞
Here’s the British/book themed stickers. New book sticker sheet, England trip sheet and Jane Austen Quotes sheet. I’m in love with the new book one <3
This quote from Jane Austen’s Emma is one of my all time favorites! I love gathering people together in all kinds of settings, but one that really stands out is bringing together adults and kids for a fire pit in our back yard. We have a swing and a play house and a string of lights on our back porch. Something about the night sky, smell of roasting marshmallows and the joyful squeal of children makes me want to freeze time and live in that moment forever. What are some of the ways that you like spend time with your village?
Do you treat people with kindness?
Oh Jane, how you express some of our thoughts so beautifully! ha! Jane was witty, smart, and honest, even when she was just writing letters to people. If only all of us could write so eloquently our feelings 😂
“Ah! There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort” -probably what Margo is thinking 🐱 #janeausten
“Reflection must be reserved for solitary hours; whenever she was alone, she gave way to it as the greatest relief...” ― Jane Austen
In a Jane Austen mood, stemming from a novel I'm reading about her―with facts about her family, home, etc.―that features Austen as a sleuth. I've been thrust into the early 19th century and I don't want to leave.
In other news, my characters have been giving me some wicked side-eyes, so it's time to return to the second draft of my novel, which I had to put on hold temporarily because... Life! But it's nothing that solitude and a cuppa can't sort out.
