OK, last MCU post for the night. I swear 😆 Some people ask what order the series is in or what order to watch it. These were common questions especially around the time Infinity War was coming out. Here is my answer to both. This is as close to the chronological order of the films I could deduce based on the films themselves.
comes first for obvious reasons. #IronMan
comes next, followed by #IronMan2
. Honestly, it’s not that bad if you skip all of Sam Rockwell’s endless monologues. I highly recommend watching like that. Most of #TheIncredibleHulk
takes places after IM2, so watch that next. That and #Thor
occur at about the same time, so you can watch that next. Of course, finish off Phase One with #TheAvengers
The order of #IronMan3
, and #CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier
isn’t entirely clear if you go off of the events of the films, so watch them in the order they were released. Proceed with #GuardiansoftheGalaxy
because they’re in the same year. Next, end Phase Two with #AvengersAgeofUltron
. We know that AM is after AoU because of Hank’s comment about the Avengers “dropping cities out of the sky.” Phase Three begins with #CaptainAmericaCivilWar
, followed up by #BlackPanther
. BP takes place only a week after CW. #SpiderManHomecoming
comes next, as it’s two months after CW. While we’re talking about that one, one of the Russo brothers confirmed that the “8 Years Later” after the opening scene was wrong during an interview for Infinity War. So there ya go. You could watch #DoctorStrange
either before or after SMH because its placement in that year of the MCU isn’t very specific. Watch #AntManandtheWasp
next because #ThorRagnarok
should always come right before #AvengersInfinityWar
. So end your MCU viewing with those three movies in that order.
And that’s it! If you read all that, thank you! Took me a little while to type it 😆 If you love the MCU, I think you’ll enjoy this viewing order!
