He mounted his bike and in the blink of an eye he kicked off, swiftly disappearing into the mist.
Sun setting on Mugdock Park as the deer graze.
Like the eerie feel of this shot.

Day trip into the mist of the Blue Mountains
Trying to post more consistently this year, aiming to do a post a day as well as an extra throwback post on Thursdays. For this week, throwing back to this pic of one of the foxes that hung around braehead carpark for some food, amazing how close you could get to them.
Heart to Heart “... One by one
We're collecting lies
When you can't give love
You give alibis
Now I'm gonna do right
This time I gotta do right
I don't wanna leave
I don't wanna say good-bye
Sooner or later
Honey, there comes a time
Tomorrow, when you gotta do right
Come on home
Tell the truth
Don't turn away
From this one last chance
To touch each others heart
Does anything last forever
I don't know
Maybe we're near the end
(So come and tell me)
Oh, how can we go on together
Now that we've grown apart
Well the only way to start
Is heart to heart...” #kennyloggins
I am walking, charging forward, uphill, at the alarming rate of 3.7 miles per hour, in a frantic search for a camp site before it gets dark and the creepy fog I have been walking through for most of the day turns to frost. Northern Washington in September can have a temperament. And it is not exactly to my liking when I know that I will be sleeping out in whatever comes. I do not find the camp spot I want, I pitch my little spaceship under some evergreens on the soft bed of needles that have fallen there. I try my best to make sure that it is pitched tight and staked down well. The wind is howling. Are those coyotes or wolves joining in with the wind? The rain begins, soft and misty, classic Washington. I strip off the wet clothes dampened by the mist, and put on warm cozy sleep clothes (something I had scoffed at in the desert) and huddle down into the down of my quilt waiting for my bones to thaw. I munch on a bar I couldn’t manage to get down earlier… it is still unpalatable. I swallow hard, and chase it with some gummy bears. (Gotta get that protein in.) I drift off as I read in psalms. “for you make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful with gladness in your presence…the loving kindness of the Most High he will not be shaken”.(Ps. 21:6-7) I am grateful. Cold and hungry, but grateful for the day.

When 5*C (41*F) is the new warm in your dictionary, you can happily danced in the mist with sleeveless summer dress while others shivered in their layers. It was 19ish*C (66*F) at Ba Na Hills on that morning.
