This arrow is handmade.
To me it is perfect. Just what I wanted. To the man who made it, perhaps not..,
Maybe the dents, that I think add to its charm, were accidents, imperfections, blemishes. Maybe the head should have been bigger, or smaller, it seems just right to me. Maybe the stand was meant to be straight, I like it at an angle. I like that it didn’t conform. Was the copper too dull? Too shiny? Did it not bend the right way? Does it matter what the maker intended? Or that the product differed from his expectation? To me, it’s perfectly imperfect. .
My kids are the only thing in this house that is actually ‘hand made’, although not interior pretty, they are also also perfectly imperfect. .
