I have used affirmations and visualizations to make positive changes in my life and what I have to say is that you really have to believe in them! Close your eyes and feel the excitement of amazing events coming your way! That kind of energy gets me they even the thoughest times!
My mind is the root of what I see in front of me, and after a lot of experimenting, I found many ways to utilise its power.
When repeating this phrase, some like to say, “Good things are here” – making it sound like it is already true. This is the general way of affirmations; saying them in the present tense. Doing them like this instructs our subconscious mind to get to work right away and find the path of least resistance to the goal.
However, with this conscious process, sometimes people tend to write-off the statement and method before starting – especially when all they can perceive in front of them are difficulties. Therefore, I suggest you try both and see what works for you and makes you FEEL like there's a possibility in what you're saying.
It is essential that you believe in the phrase, and say it as if you mean it; loud and clear, while feeling good. Keeping your vibration high is vital and using positive imagery will intensify the process.
