Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), not everyone’s favourite
Sleepy African civet (Civettictis civetta) cubs 😴 After a gestation period of about 60-70 days, female African civets give birth to a litter of one to five cubs. Unlike most other mammals, the cubs are born with relatively mature features. They are completely furred, though they are mainly black in colour. They are also able to crawl immediately after being born 🤔
I’m ready for summer and nightless night hikes 🤩
Northern Shovel-Nosed Snake (Brachyurophis roperi) from the Arnhem Highway. While photographing this fossorial snake, we could hear a bunch of dingos just in the bush on the other side of the road, a curious one even crossed the road towards where I was photographing the snake and came a few metres away from us before disappearing again.
