Compounds vs isolation exercises. -
Which is better? -
I believe there is a time and place for both 100% , however I would put main focus in your sessions on your compounds as they are the exercises that you will progress on the best and you will be progressing on multiple muscle groups rather than just one.
Compounds are exercises that use more than one or multiple muscle groups eg. A bench press. -
An isolation exercise if you couldn’t guess is where you are only training the one muscle group.
From last nights chest workout. This was my third exercise, after some pretty heavy incline dumbbell presses and incline dumbbell fly’s. This is what good quality pre workout is supposed to do. Push you through your entire workout. Make you want to do this. A lot of today’s pwo ‘s are nothing but over stimulated shit. Full of cheap stimulants, mostly coffee, that makes you think like you’re doing great but instead you’re doing nothing really. Just have a feeling inside your head like you just had 3 Red Bull’s with coffee and that’s it. Stay away from those!
