this photo describe exactly how I’m feeling, taking in all the sun, all the beauty people that surrounds, and this is only the first stop, first country of Ethiopia. the people are so beautiful inside and out (oooh let’s not talk about their outer) 😍☺️🤣 the vibes reminds me of Haiti, aren’t we all African.

something happen yesterday that strongly reminded me of how I grew up, I was eating at a restaurant and there was a woman and her toddler, as the woman got up to leave her table for a while she just made eye contact with the next table over, and they already knew, it’s the unwritten rules of true community. they already came and sat next to the toddler, till she came back. I just wonder if they would ever happen in the states.

being a child growing up in Haiti I do not remember ever having a babysitter, when the parents left the kids in the house the whole neighborhood new and they would just pay attention to the child, everyone look out, and everyone raised you. It’s like the African proverb “it takes a village” that is so real.

it’s just amazing to be feeling like home, seeing a sense of real community, something I think that is lost in the states, I haven’t even really done anything yet, I’m just living like a local and experiencing the people and the life of.
