I’ve had some buckwheat flour in the back of my pantry—it’s hearty, nutty in flavor and naturally gluten free. Tweaked my staple waffle recipe to include buckwheat, and this baby kept me full for nearly FIVE HOURS!
MAKE IT: Preheat waffle iron. Add 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce, ☝🏽 egg and ☝🏽 egg white. Stir. Add 3T buckwheat flour, 2T protein powder (I used @carringtonfarms
), 1T flaxseed meal and 1T chickpea flour. Add 2T almond milk, 1/2t baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir. Fold in 1/4 cup zucchini shreds, moisture removed. (Zucchini optional.) Spray waffle iron with olive oil spray and add half batter. Cook until golden. Repeat with remaining batter. Top with your favorites! Serves ☝🏽.

Throwback to my first visit at Duo branch. Tried the Shira Kaba Large Hitsumabushi ($39.40) where you get the best of both world - half salted and another half with unagi sauce. This is only available at their Duo branch 😌
Having tried both, I find myself dipping the salted version with the spicy unagi sauce (available at each table). So you can probably tell what’s my preference 😂

was feeling french toast this am. cinnamon + ginger coated sprouted grain bread, 1 egg and a splash of almond milk. made a little crispy, finished w/ an almond butter syrup (almond butter/ date nectar mixture). finally, topped w/ blueberries + a little extra cinnamon just because. #FridayEve
HEALTHY BANANA BREAD 🍌so poor alyssa has SIBO and I'm over here like 👩🏻🍳🍞🙈 it’s funny because I was ALWAYS the one with the gut issues. from senior year of college until about a year ago it was a constant daily battle. then I got pregnant and my symptoms literally just went away! ✨ even 7 weeks after having Luca they haven't returned 🙏🏼 so I'm able to be less restrictive with my food choices and still feel good 🍃 this banana bread recipe actually comes from my intern lindsay's grandmother 🙏🏼 we just made a few tweaks (like reducing the sugar by about 1 1/2 cups 😂) to make it a way healthier version that still tastes AMAZING! swipe over for the recipe! 👉🏼 xo Maria
