Do any of you creeps out there have holiday decorations from your childhood? My mom was awesome enough to save a lot of things for me - my stocking and tons of ornaments I've gotten over the years. I had enough ornaments to decorate a whole tree as soon as I moved out. 😂 . .
I finished this ghastly little book last night. My first @night_worms
package review! I'll admit, I'm not a person with much Christmas spirit, but I really liked most of the holiday themed stories in Hark! Every single story was different - which is essential in a themed anthology. There was a wide variety not only of plots, but also a variety of different types writing. I mean, how annoying is it to read a horror anthology where every single story reads the same? Each author had a very specific voice in this collection. These stories did not run together at all, I can recall each one without confusing it for another. . .
My average rating came out to 3.5, I think I'd bump that up to a four. There was only one story I thought was actually boring, which is great for an anthology, in my opinion. Some of my favorites include: Not Just For Christmas by Sarah Lotz, Christmas in Barcelona by Scott Smith, Yankee Swap by John McIlveen, and Love Me by Thomas E. Sniegoski. . .
Let me know if you've read this - I'd really love to hear which stories you liked most!
